which I should have nailed down by the end of the day. I'm testing it out for use with the Phoenix but if it works I'll post the "how-tos" on the book's site and here for general public use.

Maybe the signal will be boosted enough to work with a PSone screen! I shall check that as well!

Stay tuned!

UPDATE: I have accomplished getting an Atari mod signal working on a PSone screen! I am checking the correct resistance settings now... (slightly different than the TV one) Shouldn't take more then 30 minutes...

The info will be amended to the mod page and an official annoucement put in Forum 42 and the other boards.

I have to admit, I'm pretty proud of myself for this...

so is this basically only useful if you wanted to use the ps screen?
is there any advantage to do it anyways if you know (or want) your using a regular casio screen? ive already got my casio screen on order

and isnt the ps screen larger anyways? so youd have to build a custom enclosure if you were using it for a VCSp, right? (none of bens kits would fit it, they assume you are using the casio or comprable screen?)

This is useful if you want to be able to use certain video devices with certain "gain" requirements for the input channel. The PSOne screen and Sony Wega TV's have these requirements. Basically without this mod, the video just doesn't show up on these devices.

Well, it's a cleaner signal regardless. But what are these gain requirements?

Maybe he means signal gain. After all the reason the PSone never worked with the old video mod was that it was a weaker signal.

Yea, what he said. I meant that the signal coming from the atari was very weak and was not enough to be recognised on some of these devices.
