did it say anything before that? It should be several lines of numbers, then it will say "request timed out" and some asterisks where the numbers were. Those numbers are what I need, as they say where the data is going (consider it the post office as it goes from one post office to the other cross country, ususally not nonstop)

@stranger: Glad you like it. Abbibi's the one that did most of the work, and those with the problem can still see it through a mirror of the site put up somewhere else.

It gave me renewed confidence in the partially-nuked PSone in my closet.

I like to rub things in.
hmmm...

"I'm awesome!"

HK when I try your method I get : doomportables.org is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Edit: one to many e's
Sorry, should have said that traceroute is the trace program for fedora core 3... Not windows.

Hmm.... Looks like the problem for you is the PoD server itself (or another EV1 server) :?

I went to http://traceroute.org and tried a few and this is what I got
13 ivhou-207-218-245-27.ev1.net (207.218.245.27) 52.294 ms 52.278 ms 52.360 ms
14 ivhou-207-218-245-111.ev1.net (207.218.245.111) 52.965 ms 46.931 ms 46.829 ms
15 * * *
17 ivhou-207-218-245-28.ev1.net (207.218.245.28) 47.759 ms 45.503 ms 48.940 ms
18 ivhou-207-218-245-111.ev1.net (207.218.245.111) 46.697 ms 46.148 ms 48.294 ms
19 * * *
Every traceroute I do on that site only gets me to that last server. I don't have a traceroute program atm so I can't try from my pc.

yup, looks like we have a good idea where the problem is. Too bad the techies can't do anything without a ticket, which needs abbibi's password :( :x

Now what we need is to have someone that can access PoD to do a traceroute and find out what the server after the last one most people can access is :)

hmm... if people that can access PoD but don't get any response past that server there may be a firewall blocking the tracing.

when spongey/gannon gets abbibi's password!!!!!!!
which they can get by calling him, or waiting for him to answer his e-mails ; )........
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!
