Did you even get a "gallery proof" before it went to press? Or is this book being made by "on demand" electronic publishing, and they expect you to have had it all proofed electronically before even sending it to the publisher? Or is your editor supposed to be taking care of all that?benheckc wrote:I'm supposed to get like 10 copies... hm... wonder when?
who here has seen the book live and in person yet?

Nah, the proofing I did was with PDF's of the layouts (and it was rather last-minute!) I'm sure that's MUCH cheaper than actually doing lith's, printing copies and THEN having me say "this is wrong"
RE: Copies in England, I suppose they'll have to translate it into "English English"... you know, change my "whiles" to "whilsts" and "garbage" to "bin" And of course add more SPAM references.

Well, good luck with the last-minute DIY proofing. I only hope you don't need to start a thread here (or even worse, a whole forum LOL) called "Book Errata".
But if there are significant problems, I wish you success enough to be able to make a revised Second Edition to fix them!
