I got the great variable idea finally worked out in my head!!! This way not only would the screen be able to stay in place, but it would work with any system without looking like crap or out of place when you switch it out. I will post a pic once I remember my Yahoo login... But it uses little clips...

Or if you want to actually build something, why not try to remake something? For example I took a really old VHS that was broken(I was about 10 years old maybe), cut up the boards (snapping them apart), then took to get the chips off the boards. Later, I tried to put it back together (2 years later)...
