Re: The Afternoon projects thread.
Good choice on the LG chargers, they have pins 2 and 3 bridged, which is the enable charging signal for most devices, so it should work on iPods and the like.

I had the same pipe dream a few years back. The Gameboy pocket motherboard will never fit inside the metal shell, it is too wide.

Re: WTS: NES computer
If you are going to post a video of it, you should show the parts of it people probably want to see, like the sides and back of the unit. We all know what OOT looks like, no need to show us that.
Re: E3 2011
That's why Nintendo's stock plummeted after the announcement of the Wii U, right? :P I am not so sure about the WiiU, it might end up sucking. Kind of funny, though, that Nintendo is basically making a WVI, something that people here on Benheck seemed to pioneer. :P The main reason I thought Ninten...

Suggestions for a nice, low end DSLR?
I know very, very little about cameras, but I want to learn more From the research I have done, it looks like a good place to start would be a low end, general purpose DSLR, since even the cheapest ones far outclass any point and shoot. Any suggestions for a good one? Unbiased opinions and sales pit...

I really, really doubt this. In fact, I would be willing to bet $100 USD that you are lying.xboxlegend wrote:I happen to be an editor for Engadget
Microsoft had a terrible E3, the Vita looks nice, but Nintendo stole the show for sure.

I am not a jerk, I am a longtime member here who has seen this happen a thousand times over, and it always ends the same way: Some poor guy who gave you his money hoping for a portable never gets one, and you either break parts on accident with no way to buy more, realize you do not have the skills ...

Re: Commission Me for N64p!!(cheap)
You obviously have no idea what you are dealing with if you think that it will only take $50 to $100 at $15 an hour to make a portable. That would be a grand total of 3 to 6 hours of labor, and I do not think even someone like ShockSlayer can make one that fast.

It would get pulled if it were on the USA eBay, but the UK site has a separate policing staff. A lot of shady things slip under the radar there, like knockoffs. Just last week or so, a CD64 I was bidding on got pulled.

Re: LG Ally Android Phone
Why are you selling it?
My girlfriend has this phone and loves it, but her unit has sustained some damage over time, so I might surprise her and get it for her.

Re: what's the dumbest thing a non-hacker has said to you?
Because that person was obviously was running some sort of scam or was being very dishonest. How were they being dishonest? I mean, if he was selling it on eBay, then the price is determined by the highest bidder. If people want to bid up to $300 on an item, then it is not the seller's fault. :P He...
