Re: DON'T DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEMADMODDER!!!! Moderator help!!
Does anyone else see something ethically wrong with this? I mean, I know he ripped you off, but seriously. This is the internet, you are bound to get ripped off once in a while. Personally harassing someone is being just as bad as the scammer, and not to mention also punishable by law. If you really...

Re: SNES USB controller for PC gaming?
This involves using a keyboard controller board to make the controller USB. I have done this myself several times. The article is for a NES controller, but the principal is exactly the same. And you don't need the hub if you only want the USB interface.

WAIT! I think I see it. I think the ground plane where you put the 7805 regulator is not part of the ground plane as a whole anymore because of your cutting. Try just running a wire from the ground of that component to somewhere that you know is ground elsewhere on the board.

Re: Switching crystals on a PSOne screen
I don't see why not. Unless there is something else that differentiates a PAL screen from a NTSC screen that would make them incompatible with each others signals. Look up some specs on those chips, I recall someone a while ago saying that a data sheet had some kind of information on the exact thing...

Your wiring looks fine. I can't see a problem.
Is there any other system you can test it out on?
I feel bad... Like its my fault...

Re: Ramen vs Mac and Cheese
It depends. I would prefer real mac and cheese over ramen, but not that crap microwaveable mac and cheese. Since I only have a microwave, RAMEN.

Now you weren't doing anything to it by any chance? Like taking your SNES apart? These are things you need to tell us.

Wow. I think a lot of you misunderstood my first post. I was just trying to offer some advise.
But I like where this has gone. I think its interesting what everyone does.

Re: Help me pick some more wii games (UPDATE: More Games!)
The New Super Mario Bros Wii is a really good game. It feels a lot like the classic mario bros games and its a blast (and frustrating) with two plus people.

Well of course it may not be relevant for all career paths.

Tell people about what you do here!
I am sure this is pretty much assumed, but some of you that aren't in college yet may not even think about it. If you are going into any kind of engineering, make sure you put on your résumé the projects you have worked on and during a job interview, tell the interviewer about them. I just got a REA...

Re: wiimote is weird
infrared. I loled at the vagueness of that statement. The sensor bar is just a row of infrared LEDs that is powered by the Wii. Look at the sensor bar with a cell phone camera and you can see the them. But it is in no way is sending information to the Wii directly. The Wiimote on the other hand has...

Wow looks like a nice tool. I would prefer that over a Dremel. One question though, how long did it take you to make that incision?

Re: i'm a noob so i was hoping for a little help
Here is a pretty alright tutorial on how to do this with a NES controller, but the concept could easily be applied toward the SNES as well. I have personally done this and its not hard. http://edshowtos.blogspot.com/2008/06/how-to-make-your-own-nes-usb-controller.html You could also use the board in...

Re: how to make ABS cement
I did this, but wasn't very happy with the result. The resulting goo was very spongy with lots of air pockets. Not to mention it took several days for it to dry completely.
