replacement CPU bracket for XBOX
Buddy was complaining that his xbox fan was noisy. I figured I'd pop it open and blow it out with some air. Pop open and low and behold the used xbox he bought had a broken CPU clip. It wouldn't upset me so much if it wasn't for the fact that the shop he bought the used xbox from had unboxed it firs...

Re: Some ds lite problems
classic method (which i wouldn't recommend for a ds) is to light a Bic pen on fire and blow the fire out. Mash the melting plastic onto the screw head to make the form. Lasts for about 3 screws...

Re: Xbox 360 Laptop Work-Blog (Updated 1/6)
Love the look of it. You guys did a great job. Before you finish painting, I suggest getting a little more piping and doing the other side too. If you want to throw in some LEDs that's cool, but you could do it just for the asthetic of it. If -both- sides have it and go to roughly the same location ...

Re: Xbox DVD Drive
llamma sells new sammies.. I would presonally pick the Hitachi/LG drive. a single wire grounding can add full DVD support without doing a POT tweak and killing your drive in 3 weeks.... If you are running a modded xbox you can add run PC drive into XBMC and it should play burnt games.. you can also ...

Re: Xbox 360; Pirated games
Probably should have created a new thread rather than hijacking a dead one... Easy answer to this is to remove the wireless part from the equation. I considered XBOX live via wireless but found that it would get laggy. There are a few solutions that make it not so laggy. 1. make it a wired connectio...

Re: Xbox Mod
You can convert the control ports to USB fairly easily. The xbox doesn't like reading USB thumb drives that aren't in the FATX format that well. i know that some have got it to work, but I havent. PICO PSU -> XBOX is quite easy. made even easier with this http://diy.sickmods.net/Our_Products/ATX_PSU...

Re: Xbox dvd drive wont work
Should probably clarify if this is a 360 or original.. from the sounds of it this is the original xbox and the forum post needs to be moved to the appropriate section. And if this is an original, then yeah you just need to get a new DVD drive and swap it out. They aren't specific. If this is a 360, ...

Re: xbox case mods
Don't know if a video demo is really neccesary, but would love to see the inside/making of.. since it is already kind of made I guess no making of will happen, but pics of how you fit everything would be cool. Possibly wire in an open/close mechanism so that when the DVD drive pops it opens the Nint...

Re: Yoo, i made sumthing too you know!
You're website has a lot of spelling mistakes and poor web design. Your mod job took me back to 2005 when everything had to have neon lights to make the computer look cool... actually I kind of miss those days. The only real interesting parts you skipped entirely (mating it with a PC PSU, what water...

Re: do you think ps3 is a good console? is it worth the buy?
Agreed with previous poster The 360 HAD a high failure rate. MS has taken a few steps to lower that by reducing the architecture to 45 nm from I believe 90 nm. This is pretty huge when it comes to heat. They also added a heat pipe which greatly reduces the heat stress on the GPU as the CPU gets bett...

Re: Sweet Xbox 360 modifications
You could always use a fan y splitter to get the power you want... If you want to add an additional 3 pin header to your xbox you can do so and steal power from that instead of soldering directly to the board. That can add future functionality..

Re: Xbox 360; Pirated games
since we are zombie-ing dead threads I may as well put down my 2 cents. xbox scene has a lot of info. check it out. their forums is actually deadicated (sticking with zombie theme here) to helping you bypass the security and play burnt games. Keep in mind that there is a significant risk involved wi...
