Nice, Timmeh. I wish it were like that.
Yeah, I don't think a fan will fit in my case the way I have it planned right now, anyway.

Re: N64 crashing?
This is my 2nd N64 I've worked on, and I wanted to keep one fully functional home system (one more left), so I'm going to try to see if it was just my wiring before I get rid of this one too.
Thanks for the heatsinks link. Will the adhesive work fine, or shall I also get some Arctic Silver?

Re: N64 crashing?
Well, I spent two weeks checking connections, so I disconnected the whole thing already, I'm just going to take my time wiring the cartridge right this time.
I need to buy some heatsinks, but I also need to make sure that they aren't too much higher than the current blocks, so they fit in my case.

Re: N64 crashing?
Sorry, I should have clarified- I haven't done any mods to the board except for the cartridge slot relocation. Official power supply, normal A/V jack even if it's wired separately now, no memory expansion relocation. I think it's most likely my cartridge relocation, since even after troubleshooting ...

N64 crashing? [&& other help]
My N64 stops working after running for a while. It runs fine, and then there are what I can only describe as electronic whale sounds and scratching noises, and the picture/game freezes. I don't know if it's something with the cartridge relocation that's going wrong, or maybe my hot glue is melting a...

Re: PSone screen buzz
I have not done any mods to it. So it's just the light that buzzes? It always makes me think that something's shorting or loose.

Re: Pnintendo64 worklog
Excellent stuff, I love the case and how smooth it looks, and the board trimming/rewiring is very clean.

PSone screen buzz
Is it normal for the screen board to make a constant high pitched buzzing noise? No A/V signal coming in, just the power plugged in and the speakers unplugged, even.
Also, I can't seem to get audio out of it, and I don't know if this is related or not.

I don't think all of those need to be connected anyway, the groups each go to the same leads.

Re: Oh Noes
Is there a limit on the length of a cartridge relocation as there is with RAM extension that could make problems? It's a good idea to do relocations before removing things like the power source connection, I learned the hard way with a fried N64 with a problem I can't test because there are so many ...

Re: First N64p project...advice/help?
The inner connections do not connect to anything unless the expansion slot is connected, and it's a bad idea to run it without heatsinks.

It would be rad if the battery indicator light had a diffuser and shone through the drill holes.

Re: Is it possible...?
Yes, the light green on a printed board is the circuit wiring, not the dark.
