Well it was the 7808 getting to hot. Weird because even when the screen shut off the 7808 was still ouputting the proper voltage. :? Put a fan on it and the screen stayed on, so I added an aluminum heatsink from a Retro Duo and I spent today putting in the fan on the back where it will suck the hot...

I need the purple/"lavendar" buttons from a snes controller

Playstations don't need 3.3v, they need around 7.5. I believe that the psx needs 3.3 for the disc reader check out the N64 forums there should be plenty of examples on how to get 3.3 volts from a ti regulator or you may want to check out dimension engineering's regulators http://www.dimensionengine...
