Looking good so far , are you using composite for the video? Try RGB video if composite flickers.

Re: Sam's Back with a PSone Portable in the works
i love it! except for the lack of face buttons, its totally amazing! Thanks, Eventually I might see if i can get something to cover up those tacts. Maybe get hold of some third party controllers and hack up the buttons see if i can get them to fit. Then glue them in to place. Its perfectl...

Re: Noob question - powering PSone screen
Correct,
The leftmost one in the picture. The ones with the 'N's on them. They are SMD type micro fuses. The one on the left is for the LCD controller, and the other one is for the backlight.

Re: Sam's Back with a PSone Portable in the works
Its Finished! All Done! Got all of the side panels glued in to place, everything is working as it should. :D On a full charge it will run for just under 2 hours. (1 hour and 50 minutes) Thats acceptable for me, i like my portables to run for at least 2 hours. Anyway some final pictures: http://i108....

Re: Noob question - powering PSone screen
If you reverse the polarity while the fuses are shorted, the screen will fry. :( There are parts of the screen that run of 7.5v directly, the backlight and the AN2526NFH chip. Thats why there are fuses on there in the first place. The battery that you're using is fine. I've used the same battery in ...

Re: Is it possible to connect a video signal to this screen?
I'd say no. It looks like some kind of graphical display from a cash register, copier machine or something. From looking at the board, it looks like its driven by a digital signal. No good for portables. If your after a screen for a portable, stick to what people recommend. For example: http://forum...

Re: Sam's Back with a PSone Portable in the works
But what happened to the buttons in front, it looks like you were going to use normal buttons before the tacts? I messed up the triangle when i was cutting the hole so the button will not fit. So i'm going leave the tact switches as they are. The rest of the buttons will fit but the traingle will n...

Re: screen goes black
Is your Lcd monitor running off its own power supply? If so its sounds like bad capacitors or dry joints on the backlight invertor circuit. I've fixed a few Lcd monitors with the same symptoms. Power but no backlight. But if your taking 12v from the 360's power brick then like what everyone else is ...

Re: Noob question - powering PSone screen
Those fuses can blow from wrong polarity or sometimes overvoltage (rarely though). Be carefull not to short out the ground, as there is lots of grounding around the fuse area. Also make sure that you have a video source hooked up 8) . The screen can run on voltages from around 6.8-8v. Don't power it...

Re: Sam's Back with a PSone Portable in the works
Picture Update! Here's how it looks as of now. Got the volume control switches wired up. (The little circuit board with the two tact switches hanging out the side) The action buttons on the right side, i was going add the triangle, circle, square and x buttons from a PSone controller on top of the ...

Re: Sam's Back with a PSone Portable in the works
Ok, apologies yet again for inconsistent updates! :? I keep drifting off doing other stuff and leaving this thing unfinished. I will finish this portable! :D Anyway, I've got the top panel done with the speakers installed and wired up. Also wired up the front blue power LED. I still need to wire up ...
