Battery Voltage Question
If I hooked up 8 1.2v rechargeable batteries (total of about 9.6v), would they be able to power something that would require, say 9 volts?

Have you tried 12V? I think that's what it requires.
But I agree with Prog, I think you need to supply a video feed or whatever to make it work.

I am kind of in the same boat you're in. I would start trying to learn C++. Or you could use the Unity3D Engine to make your game (I think you need to learn Javascript for that though).
