Re: SuperPad 64 joystick mod. Gamecube stick inside :)
Thanks for the replies, guys. This helps clear some things up. Toast: I drew a little diagram of mine also but even looking at the controller, I can see that the 2 red wires on mine are different than on your diagram. I have removed the whole stick component, except for the pots, where the wires are...

Re: SuperPad 64 joystick mod. Gamecube stick inside :)
Little bump here for probably a noob question (sorry :/) I'm attempting at doing this mod with the SuperPad 64 (by Performance) same one as the black one in the picture above. When rewiring the GC c-stick to the super pad, is it ok to just rip off the 4 white wires that connect the C-stick board to ...

Re: Putting a Gamecube joystick in a SuperPad 64...
Is installing the joystick that is for the C-stick easier to do? Since you can just pop off the heads.. and i'm pretty sure they are interchangable, so I could put the grey one on there in place of the c stick. And do I just de-solder the wiring attached to the joystick box from the GC stick and the...

Putting a Gamecube joystick in a SuperPad 64...
I've heard this is possible and a lot easier to do than putting one into a nintendo brand 64 controller. I have my super pad opened up and completely removed the joystick box from it because it's broken anyway. I've got a few questions, if you know the answers PLEASE help! -Is it possible to put the...

Re: Does this stick mod look legit?
how do you play n64 games online? The best/most common N64 emulator for the pc is called Project 64. Somewhere along the line, they made a tweaked version of the emulator and named it Project 64k, the 'k' standing for kaillera, which is a server for connecting to other people playing games on emula...

Re: Does this stick mod look legit?
Sorry in advance, because I'm new with this stuff. I am looking to pretty much do this same mod, but WITH a 3rd party controller - my SuperPad 64. I play smash bros. 64 competitively online and the analog sticks on the N64 are just junky; they are uncomfortable and wear out fast. Is a used 3rd party...

Fixed my old gameboy :D but...
So I recently got my triwing screwdriver in the mail, along with a very small philips - exactly what I needed to open my original gameboy. I opened it up, mainly to clean the 3 metal pieces where the batteries connect to, because 1 of them was really corroded from a battery that leaked probably year...

Re: SNES USB controller for PC gaming?
I have googled it before... the point was to find out if it's doable to make one myself instead of buying an existing one, but thanks

SNES USB controller for PC gaming?
Is this a possible mod to do, without buying any adapters? And does anyone know if there are existing drivers for this if so? I pop my wired xbox360 for some pc gaming but when I play old snes games through ZSNES it'd be nice to have an original SNES pad to use for it. There was some video I saw on ...

Re: NES repair attempt = fail
I actually disable the lockout chip (cut the 4th pin on that chip) before coming back to see your posts, but thanks guys. I plugged it in and everything, this time got the power to stay on - there was no blinking... just a blank blue screen this time, instead of blinking screen and power light. Does...

NES repair attempt = fail
So yeah I still don't really have any experience fixing and modding video games, but I was getting really excited while cleaning my 72 pin connector and the part where it connects to the main board, and bending the pins a bit to get a more secure connection. I put my super mario 3 game in (that I kn...

Re: So I'm been looking around in here...
Yeah, I am giong to open them up when I get the chance (they're at home and I'm at school right now), hopefully I can get to it soon, I'm gonna see if I can tweak the 72 pin connectors and see if I can get them to work. What exactly is the point of disabling the louckout chip though? From what I've ...

Re: So I'm been looking around in here...
Thanks for the posts guys, and I like your idea Raizer - I actually have 3 original NES systems.. the only multiples of any that I own (2 not working, they have the flashing red light of death). So either this weekend or sometime soon I'm gonna take a look and see if I can fix em'. If I do, maybe I'...

So I'm been looking around in here...
Yes, this is my first post, but I've done a lot of looking around in this forum. Are many of you guys electricians/technicians or students in electrical engineering? Some of the stuff on here is incredible... I couldn't even imagine how long the simplest of mods and console hacking would take me. I'...
