Re: Gebby's Slim Xbox Laptop
Minor update: I did some work on the jewel for this recently. I had this idea I needed to try, so I did. http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/5606/wp001572.jpg http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/6347/wp001573.jpg I need to get rid of that little bit of dust on the back and polish up the front more, and I'...

Re: Gebby's Slim Xbox Laptop
Nope, I used the screen from a Dell laptop.
All I had to do was find the name of the panel, check a list on ebay, and then order a part.
The screen aspect of this cost me about $40 for a controller from NJYTouch on ebay. You should look into it. Maybe I'll write up a guide soon.

Re: solderfree xbox modchips
What world do you live in? I haven't seen an xbox at a Gamestop in over 4 years. Last time I saw one at a pawn shop, they wanted $100 for it. That was a bit over a year ago. The only other place I've been able to find them locally wants $50 Craigslist wants $80 Seriously, what city do you live in th...

Paypal is your friend. At least when you're the buyer.
Feedback has to come from somewhere, you know.

Re: Gebby's Slim Xbox Laptop
The drive has 2 NO switches in it to detect when the tray is all the way opened and when it is all the way closed. When both are open, it assumes the drive is opening. Because I didn't have the board with these switches hooked up, the xbox assumed the drive to be in a state of opening up, or perpetu...

Re: Sega Genesis Micron...Completed...sorta...
You completely redid it 7 times as well as having pulled the ROM chip off then re-soldered it back on... all the while having to repair 15 traces. It was more than just "trouble" Anyway, great job! We were going to try for the smallest at MRTN, but even if we had gone with our original case design, ...

Re: solderfree xbox modchips
This is the only place I know of to get one new.
And trust me, I understand not wanting to pay $30+ for shipping on top of whatever I feel I should charge for what you want done.

Re: solderfree xbox modchips
There are some kits that are basically screw tightened mini-banana posts that are used for headers... But if you intend to mod an xbox to the fullest extent, you seriously need to learn to solder those kinds of connections. If you just want it modded, though, I can provide a few different services f...

One of these, or something else?

Can you maybe describe what we're looking for a bit? Like, is it something that's customized, is is painted, engraved, or stamped, etc?

First test with video. Everything seems to be displaying fine: http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/332/wp001455.jpg Now to figure out sound and override the open tray detection. And by figure out sound, I mean I'm too lazy to do anything for it, but I know exactly what to do when I get off my bum and...

Since you asked, forgive the MR links, but this guy's posts seem to be missing from this site. Probably because of that problem a few years back where half of the posts got deleted. http://forums.modretro.com/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=2399" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://forums.modr...

Re: 360 Iinside OLDSKOOL/original XBOX..Pictures,Youtube link
Makes me want to turn this full circle, and put an OG xbox in a 360S case.
Also, I'd expect the PSU to sit inside like that. It was the same way with the xbox. It'd be more fun to stick the xbox PSU inside an external case for the reverse mod.

That is a sexy color scheme for a circuit board. Please make the real ones look like that.

Re: Gebby's Slim Xbox Laptop
So... I turned it on today. It turned on. I'm not too surprised, but I thought people might care.
I could upload a picture, but it doesn't really show anything new... except for the 6pin connector I put on the power for testing...
