Re: What was your worst injury?
Sheesh, why in the world did they rotate your shin bone? That just doesn't sound fun at all.

Re: Runix
Hmm, that's too bad. At this point in time, if I was going to deal with a Linux installation of any kind, it would be to install it on my PS2. I do happen to have two psones lying around though... hmm.

Re: What was your worst injury?
Heh, I don't have any hard-core stories like that, but the one injury that I get to show off all the time is when I cut off half of a knuckle of my right-hand middle finger while washing a glass . Got to watch it go down the sink and everything. I was in fourth grade at the time; I called for my mom...

Re: Visual C++ Express question
Quite frankly, I'd be happy with just being able to manipulate the control and figure the rest out by myself at this point. For instance, I'm used to Visual Basic-style syntax of label1.text to modify the text field, etc, but I'm not sure of how to do that in Visual C++. The code given by the actual...

Visual C++ Express question
Visual C++ Express has a web browser object that I'm having problems trying to find code examples that actually works. I'm not actually wanting a usable web browser window, I just need to have the control operate invisibly (which I have accomplished,) but I have not been able to find applicable, wor...

Re: My main gripe with the GTA Series.
Great idea, I think a great feature in any of those games would be spontaneous, random-izable scenarios. Just being able to walk into a bank with a loaded gun period should start off SOME sort of random event, kind of like when you pop too many people and the cops come running. Haven't played the ne...

Tip of a soldering iron would probably secure it ok, if there's room.

Re: wireless question
Theoretically, yes. There are packages you can get from electronic project sites that basically have Power-Signal-Ground connections, or some variant thereof. If you look on Hack-A-Day I believe, there's a project where someone took a Sega Genesis controller and make a wireless remote for the Wii wi...

I once saw one of those Volvo wagons with an LS1 swap. Volvette, I believe they called it. There's a youtube video somewhere.

Re: i got shot
Good LORD, palmertech... how did that even get set up? (Visions of buddy being like, "Here, hold this golf ball on your lips...") Hopefully, other than the scar, no other long-lasting effects from that? Glad to hear about the positive prognosis, coleslaw... I agree with palmertech, losing eyesight i...

Re: Game Gear Capacitors
How is this coming along? If you haven't already ordered the parts, you can get the capacitors from any waste piece of electronics (VCRs, CD/DVD players, etc.) You just need to make sure that the capacitance (measured in uf, as in 100uf for isntance) is the same as the existing capacitor. The voltag...
