Re: PlayStation Network BACK ONLINE!
Their goal I reckon is to let Sony give in, and add the other OS functionality back as well as enable the jailbreak for playing backups. Fat chance. Enable software piracy on their systems? Great idea. If Sony wanted to reinstate Other OS, they would have already, especially after all the Geohot st...

Re: What do you guys know about AVRs?
I'm doing this stuff now for my senior project, fun stuff. 8) You could just make a basic DAPA cable by soldering a few wires, components etc (like Snow_Cat said) but getting a USB programmer can make it way easier in the long run. That SparkFun one looks nice, but I've also heard good things about ...

Re: Portable 64
They're all made in Hong Kong, but from time to time I think there are sellers in the US (a little more expensive though).JoshandAndrew wrote:Are there any that are not from Hong Kong? The shipping is quite a bit of money.
$20 shipped (including shipping) is about as cheap as you can get.
Edit: Pagebreak!

Re: Portable 64
The first auction finished, and the second has a $20 shipping charge. :| The problem is, some of these screens are fidgety with the N64. No one knows for sure which screens they are, but they seem to be the ones with buttons on the back. I've heard these are confirmed to work: http://cgi.ebay.ca/Min...

Re: Portable 64
The 3.5" car backup screens from ebay are quite popular. $20-$30, I think. Check hailrazer's guide in the reference subforum.
If you want to make a quality portable, you're going to have to put a little money into it.

No. Not only would it not be worth the time vs. money, but the resolution is terrible.

Re: A little something.
I don't know; I've only heard that it could be done.
I know you can replace the 2 x 2MB chips with 4MB chips, but I don't think I've actually heard of someone using a single 8MB chip...

Re: A little something.
Good Luck.
IIRC, you can replace the two 4MB chips with one 8MB chip, as long as you leave the pullup resistors. Then you'll have expansion pack functionality with less space.
