Kind of interesting. Simple, to the point.
Still vaguely creepy.

Re: Hori mini pad
I like the superpad 64 plus a lot. On my regular superpad 64 (3 prong model) the plastic joystick thing broke off. I just put 4 toothpick extensions on it and slapped a button on the end. It worked great, after lots of hotglue, of course. Speaking of hotglue, guess what the stock superpad 64 joysti...

Re: Hori mini pad
I'd have to disagree with you on this, but to each his own :) . I'm actually shocked by how long my MakoPad64 has survived (considering all the abuse it's taken. What you could do is get a MakoPad64 and swap out the stock thumbstick for a GC thumbstick. It would probably be cheaper than a Hori Mini...

Re: Hori mini pad
I mean the superpad one. I know the horipad is potentiometer based, just like the GC one. No I meant the stick is not a good one like the Gamecube stick. It's not soft and small. It's hard and rigid. (no comments perves). And it breaks just as easy as the N64 one. That's all I meant. Yes it is pote...

This thing is beautiful!
When are you gonna mass produce these for 50 bucks a piece ? I really want one.

Re: Hori mini pad
As far as I know, the Hori pad uses the same joystick as a GameCube. I honestly have no idea what that is based on.Kyo wrote:it's not potentiometer based? Really?

Bump-
Come on! For all the people modifying third-party controllers to take GC analog sticks, one of you has to have the stick it came with!

Re: Hori mini pad
Have you tried the Interact SuperPad Plus/ MakoPad 64?
Its like, half GameCube controller (analog stick half) attached to the right-hand wing of an N64 controller. Very comfy, in my humble opinion.

I don't know you personally (I think you're a tad after my time), but I've seen your portables. Good stuff. Gotta love the N64 .ShockSlayer wrote:I dunno, it's been awhile.

Re: Super pad plus annoyances
I have a MakoPad 64 (same controller but clear)... The only issue I've had with it is that the little plastic piece holding "Z" in, broke (fixed with hot glue) :P ... As far as the "Auto" button, I still haven't figured out what that does :? . And when you hit the "Slow" button while playing Starfox...

Re: Commission me.
There's no fun or customization in that. Besides, that's not what people are looking for, any two-bit could rig up something like that. SS I guess I was thinking more along the lines of something pseudo-mass produced... And I'll have you know that THIS two-bit has a very difficult time rigging up s...

WTB: Third party N64 Analog Stick
Specifically one where the plastic piece you put your thumb on is removable... I'm missing the one off of my MakoPad64 and would really like a replacement. Any analog stick tip from an "Interact" controller should work. I'm not actually looking for a whole controller or analog stick, just that littl...
