Re: Grape64 worklog
use a cell phone vibrate motor to replace the big one in the rumble pack. i did it as a test in the dreamcast rumble pack and it works great. Funny you mention that, I just ripped apart one of my old cell phones and tested the rumble motor out. If anything I'll probably install a couple of these mo...

Re: Grape64 worklog
well thanks and in response to your question, i say do a rumble pack....give it good justice! Well I guess it all depends on how much room I end up having when I'm nearing completion. I've got some smaller gamecube rumble motors I could use to save some room... If I do include it I'll definitely in...

Re: Grape64 worklog
Man, I leave for like 10 mins and a flame war breaks out... lol. I don't think your use of the word "behold" is obnoxious Raizer. Anyways, I'm working on some wiring tonight, I just finished cleaning my workspace out and throwing out a bunch of old junk. Time for a few questions. 1. Should I include...

If you do this though, I would suggest using one of the 3.5 inch LCDs from ebay. They are 20 dollars, larger than the 2.5 screen and a lot easier to come by than a hip gear...

Re: Light sensors
You could possibly apart a night light and use that in combination of one of the night light bulbs that have leds in them. They sell bulbs that have like 3 white leds in them.

Re: Grape64 worklog
Interesting design, does the audio amp that you are using have solder pads for volume + and - because when I looked it up on google it seems not to have any volume control and uses the volume control from the mp3 player instead. Internal picture as promised. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v648/pkmnjunky7/N64%20Portable%20Grape64/100_2619.jpg As you can see the PCB is about 2 1/4" inches long, and 3/4" wide, with a large curved section cut out. It looks like it would be possible to fold the board if you needed more room...

Re: GBC Mods
No it is not possible to practically backlight a GBC, it'll wash out the screen although i do wish it were possible >.> Backlighting isn't possible, but frontlighting is. I wouldn't necessarily call it easy... but it can be done if you know what you're doing. Rechargeable battery is possible too. Y...

Re: SNES WIP - CODENAME: SPACE CADET
Eh, you can get the Snes Mini down to the size of the Retro Duo, but it takes a lot of work. The retro duo is pretty small to begin with, I didn't do any board trimming for my portable, I just relocated a few caps and the cart slot. As far as compatibility, I own maybe 30 SNES games and they all wor...
