does anyone have/know of a circuit that uses a digital pot and a 555 timer to adjust the volume (I think that's what you would need)? Science of sleep is a good movie, and I wouldn't say its impossible to make a portable battery powered laptop though, it would be very expensive, not to mention heavy, and bulky. A battery just isn't practical. A small internal-combustion engine would be smaller and cheaper, but forget playing it indoors. Would work well with a steampunk design.
