Re: A good deal?
I dunno, I guess I'd expect a little more of a volume discount when buying so many things. Are the controllers made by Nintendo, or a third party? Third party ones are worthless.

Re: A good deal?
I wouldn't say so, unless maybe if the games are really good. N64s can be found for ~$30 each, less if you look hard enough, Gamecubes are about the same with the Wii being backwards compatible. NESs are at the point where they're more of a classic than an obsolete console, so there's a little bette...

Re: Portable Travel
I think that checked bags would actually be worse, if anything. They still get screened, and you won't be there to explain to the TSA what that rats nest of wires actually is, so you don't have a chance at convincing them if they were on the fence to begin with. Oh, and I just started work as a bagg...

Re: help
Oh holy crap, where to start with this... 1) a lot of topics here are for people that need help. Be more descriptive in your title than just "help." If you were a mechanic, would you write "broken" for the description of a car that is having trouble? Attract those that can help, and don't waste the ...

Re: Portable Travel
Yeah, I wouldn't do it unless you're prepared to give it up, just to be safe. If you bring it anyway (maybe it's not a very important one for you or something) it would probably be best to have it turned on before you get to the checkpoint so they can see what it is ahead of time. Oh, and put it in ...

Re: can anyone make me a mini arcade cabinet or arcade cocktail
It's sometimes worth it to look around for something, too. Craigslist, local arcades (if any), or other places often exist. If you just want a cabinet, it's not too hard to find a non-working unit. For dealers, look for amusement or vending companies in your area.

FS: DDR3 Laptop RAM
Howdy, I've got 2 sticks of DDR3 Laptop RAM, 1GB each. Originally from a MacBook Pro, but it'll work on pretty much any computer you throw at it (made within the last couple years). I've been looking for $25 each or $40 for the pair, but that doesn't seem to do much. I think that most computers made...

Re: Your favorite alcohol?
Either beer (Spotted Cow is a delicious brew available only in WI, but I drink just about anything) or gin and tonics. Say what you want about them (that it's something for old people, whatever) but they are AWESOME. Good, and you can start to notice things pretty quickly with them

Please stop asking people to sign up on your website in every post. It's not just annoying, it's against the rules. This. You've been warned about this before and a sizeable portion of your posts are about this site. In accordance to the steps mentioned in that link above, I am issuing a 2-week ban...

not on the list, but http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C64_Direct-to-TV" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; has Commodore 64 hardware.
As for pretty much this entire thread....... really? Just because a system exists and is a few years old, it must have been released on a chip?........ really?

Re: What's your nerdiest/geekiest moment?
Our tech guys don't know crap. Last year, some kid was using a school laptop that had the wifi switch turned off. They brought in a tech guy. He spent 45 minutes trying stuff, and eventually gave up, placing an "out of order" sign on it. Holding back laughter, I asked what was wrong. He said...

Re: What's your nerdiest/geekiest moment?
Well, I'm pretty much the class nerd. Out of 42 13-14 year olds, I am one of 2 who has ever heard of linux, the only one that uses it, and I've been able to fix most of the computer problems that would normally require a visit from the computer teacher. The only guy that age I ever knew that had he...
