Re: 3DS Price Cut
I don't think this has anything to do with bad sales, 3DS sales figures actually look pretty healthy. It is almost certainly in response to the PS Vita only being $250, and appearing to be much better hardware. Thank you. The 3DS is and will be fine. The logos and that are copyrighted, so third party companies cannot use them all willy-nilly like.

Re: Fake PSP game?
The UMD disk itself looks proper and has the Playstation logo.
The white casing thing is the only difference? They sell replacements for those, if your game's casing breaks or gets all scratched up. That would explain the lack of logos and slightly different molding.

It's not for sale online, only at one of their locations in Canada. Also, that's $20 Canadian.

California game law regarding Mature-rated video games
The Supreme Court ruled unconstitutional a California state law that would have fined retailers $1,000 for selling minors video games with mature themes. It was overturned on the basis of free speech 1st Amendment protections. These are my thoughts: 1. Unlike movies, every video game sold in stores ...

It's impractical for a variety of reasons. See this thread from 2004 and especially this more recent thread for more information.

Yes, although you can wire an American cartridge slot to it. It is no more trouble if you were planning on relocating the slot anyway.luke_hankins wrote:sorry, not a fan of sj3. and it only accepts famicon carts, right?

Re: Possible replacement for use instead of ps1 screen?
It'd work in a portable, yeah. In fact, the battery could power the console as well, although not for very long. Built-in speakers are always nice.
However, compared to a PSone screen, it presumably uses more power and also only supports composite (PSone accepts RGB).
