Re: Xbox 360 WVI (Wireless Video Interface) V.2
This is not Xbox 360 Portable. This is called Wireless Video Interface (WVI). It streams output from Xbox 360 via that little box to the big box. The big box has audio amplifier, wireless video and audio transmitter, battery, and wireless xbox 360 controller build in.

Re: Xbox 360 WVI (Wireless Video Interface) V.2
RDC did a great job at creating an alternative board for the wireless controller. If I was making another one I would really think of using his board. The thing is I am (was) really limited with time and tools for this project. If I ever build another one it will be in HD as they have a nice wireles...

Re: Xbox 360 WVI (Wireless Video Interface) V.2
The overall dimensions of the unit could be shorter but they are this big because of four things: 1. Xbox 360 controller board: You cannot cut it or at least I did not see any guides of cutting it. So in order to have access to guide, start, stop button I had to mount it below the screen. IF I flipp...

Re: [PC] Cannibalizing LCD from old laptop
First, find out the model number of the screen. There is one corporation on ebay called NJYtouch. They sell controller boards. They have a list of monitors that work with their controllers. They are not that expensive. I know few people who used they controller boards and did not have a problem. Goo...

Re: Second attempt at a ps2 laptop
Yep, you are right. It looks like it has audio in and speaker out too. Maybe it has a build in audio amp too. That would be nice. You can ask them.
So far it might work out for you just right.
Good luck

Re: Second attempt at a ps2 laptop
PS2 does not have a simple Composite to VGA cable. You will need to run some kind of Composite to VGA converter box. There might be some VGA mod but I do not know about it. You are better of finding a regular screen that takes composite in. Do NOT get that battery. I bought the same one only at litt...

Re: my newest xbox slim laptop 18.4" screen under 2"
The Xbox 360 laptop looks great. The case and inside part placing is very clean and professional. I can see advantage of 2" thick laptop but it would be nice to run it when hooked up to big screen tv without the lid open (I think you would have to have a lid open at least a little bit for the suffi...

Re: Universal Wireless Video Interface (HD Edition - Research)
That sounds very promising. Lets say the system with 5.6" or 7" HD monitor takes about 1500mAh, you can get about 4-5 hrs of 7.4V @ 6800mAh battery. That battery is only like $60 at batteryspace.com !! I would like you to create a topic in Xbox 360 forum so we can follow your progress :). It would b...

Re: Universal Wireless Video Interface (HD Edition - Research)
Hey palmertech,
That is an awsome setup
Did you calculate or measure the power/amp usage of the ASUS hardware?
I found out that receiver is about 10 Watts. But what about current draw?

Universal Wireless Video Interface (HD Edition - Research)
Hello all, After completing my universal video interface (SD 480i) I was looking into wireless HD one. Searching around the internet I was able to gather few interesting facts: 1. Wireless HD Standard - WHDI ( http://www.whdi.org/ ) A lot of companies support this. 2. Wireless HD Transmitter/Receive...
