Re: 1st 360 laptop finished!
Mind if I offer some suggestions? Using the old style heatpipe CPU heatsink on the GPU is a good idea, but I think you may need to rotate it 90 degrees so it makes full contact with the GPU and RAM heat spreaders. Of course you would have to reposition the fans. You could probably tap the monitor's ...

Re: FS: low_budget's new PS3 Slim laptop
Well I did have plans to build 4 more laptops, but the last one hasn't sold. With an asking price reduced to a mere $1,000, I would think it will sell soon. I have spent about $800 just in material cost. So with around 200 hours invested building this, I'm making a whole dollar per hour. Needless to...

The hard drive can be replaced rather easily. The top / left side remove with 2 screws.

Re: FS: low_budget's new PS3 Slim laptop
UPDATE:
Just re-listed on ebay with a new fan speed controller for quieter operation.
I am working on 4 more laptops! They can be either XBOX or PS3 due to the flexible design. PM me if you'd like one custom built.

Re: low_budget's PS3 slim laptop complete!
To control the excessive fan noise I made a circuit that controls fan speed based on temperature. My laptop is much quieter now, and is almost silent on startup. This circuit was found here: http://www.redcircuits.com/Page109.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Mod your Sega CD to use only one power adapter
I haven't tried powering a 32x with this setup yet, but hope to in the future. It should work fine. I will post a tutorial for that if I ever get around to it. One power cord for a 32x/sega CD setup would definitely make the system more convenient.

Re: Mod your Sega CD to use only one power adapter
This process explains the modification necessary to make the Genesis power switch operational with the modified Sega CD. This is for the Genesis 2, but the Genesis 1 procedure should be similar as it has the same connections. This mod will not affect normal operation of the Genesis. It can be unplug...

Mod your Sega CD to use only one power adapter
The angry video game nerd would be happy! Disclaimer: I am not responsible for possible damage to your system. This requires careful soldering and cutting of pcb traces. It's not THAT hard, but you should have patience and experience soldering. Apparently, Sega reserved some pins on the expansion co...

Re: Sega Genesis Model 1 doesn't power on
Model 1 and 2 genesis systems have a different polarity, so they are not compatible. A regular NES power supply uses AC, so it will not work. If you want a genesis to work with any polarity (including AC) wire in a bridge rectifier. Make sure the bridge rectifier can handle 2A. Also make sure it doe...

Also include first-party controller. The N64 has the cartridge slot relocated on the component side using 1/8in thick aluminum angle...
