You can do it with a 555, if you like. It's called a one-shot circuit.
Here's a good schematic:

Just get rid of the "trigger" and wire it closed.

Re: 364 Worklog
Now that school is out, I have a lot more time to work on this! Not too much to report here. Just some measurements taken and drawn up, and I'm ready to cut the side panels. I like Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, but those aren't free. Sketchup is a good free program. So is Blender, but that's a bit harder to learn.

Re: Would it be a bad idea to overclock my n64?
I don't remember what revision my Retro64 was. One of the later ones, like 6 or 7. But anyway, I had it overclocked and after a few months it would crash when I turned it on. I would have to cycle the power four or five times before it would work for more than five seconds. Even then, it would somet...

Re: The Afternoon projects thread.
There was this cover to an exit sign leaning against a white board in one of my classes at school. I told my friend I wanted it, so he went up and took it like a boss. :P I used a laptop diffuser panel, LEDs, and some diffusion sheets to make it light up. I was going to make it just red, but my red ...

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
So, anybody else here like the show? I totally refused to watch it until my friend forced me to watch an episode. Then I loved it. Who would have guessed? It's actually a good show.

Re: The Afternoon projects thread.
Wow, that's really nice. Okay, maybe some of you remember my weed whacker-powered bike . It's biggest flaw was that there was no clutch. Well, after the brackets holding the motor on the bike started to get loose to the point where it'd no longer work, I had a good excuse to rebuild the mounts with ...

Re: t64 Resurrection
You sure you're not missing any pins? I'm sure you checked for that, but some games use more or different pins than others, causing some to work but not others if you're missing a wire or two. Cold joints?

FS/T: 7.5v Li-ion battery management board
This was taken from an external portable DVD player battery pack. It used to have two 3500mAh li-ion batteries hooked up to it, but the batteries went bad. The board still works fine, though. With this, you just hook up two 3.7v li-ion batteries and it will take care of short-circuits, under- and ov...
