Well, technically it is possible if you have multiple degrees from MIT and/or have lots of inside Nintendo knowledge .

It is actually a DC adapter. At least, it says it is and has Genesis written on the box.

My knock-off NES adapter doesn't supply enough power for my model 1 Genesis.

Probably not, the batteries are probably set to put out a voltage that's not ideal for the PS1. Plus, it's probably too big of a pain to get a connection from the unmodded batteries. However, using the cells, you can rig them up to do any voltage divisible. My recommendation? Use 2 or 4 cells for 7....

Well, considering that same emu runs like crap on Wii and hasn't been updated in 1.5 years, I would say don't let that influence your buy.

Yes, or you can bypass that extra space wasted and hardwire the AV out on the motherboard of the GC to the AV in on the PSOne screen.
