Re: Laptop Glowing Logo
Modding laptop shells would, in my opinion, likely require some vacuum forming for it look professionally done. Might be easier to print some glow in the dark stickers, keeping in mind this is merely a suggestion. As for a logo, I love the wireshark fish in the water look: http://www.wireshark.org/"...

Re: Homemade Deskbook: Rev. 2
What you're describing is a lot like my first design. Which is not BAD, but it is very hard to get good airflow inside most cases. If you go the rout of cracking an existing case, it is a lot easier to mount an LCD by taking off the back panel and actually using the front panel to mount such as in m...

Re: Homemade Deskbook: Rev. 2
Finally found the time to finish this project, and although it looks a LOT like a microwave, I am pleased with its performance and stability. I decided to add a 320Gb hdd from a laptop for extra storage, and made the fans run even slower since the airflow is more than enough inside the box. Most com...

Homemade Deskbook: Rev. 2
Just putting the finishing touches on my Desk-book Rev.2, and thought since I originally announced my alpha here I would show off the baby that it created. After making a few models in a 1/4 scale with poster card, I became confident enough to begin my deskbook 2.0. This build will feature a cooler ...

Re: Plugging in Two Mice
Im not sure if I read it right, but this software lets mice become switched on the fply by simply taking control with the left mouse button. I've seen it in use, and it seems to be fairly stable and easy to use.

Re: 360 Portable for a US Soldier
I'd keep pursuing my money from this other individual for starters. My best recommendation would be to find something that is the size you want, and use standoff to mount the motherboard and just nut and bolt the other components like the disk drive. As for everything else, you can use hot glue. You...

Re: Games that are ACTUALLY good
Mass Effect 1/2 = my favorite single player gaming experience. I personally dislike COD titles and the like, but love good shooters.
TF2 is the best multiplayer experience IMHO.

Re: The future of gaming?
Nothing will ever kill the PC, and I like getting the hard copy and the even occasional collector's edition bundles. But I honestly wouldn't mind playing Skyrim on my net-book... The backbone of the internet is being burdened. (I cannot not deny that). But I offer this, services like Gamefly have sh...

Re: General Keyboard/Computer Problems
Not a cure all,
*Make sure you have the Microsoft drivers installed for that specific keyboard
*Change/set the default playback device for your output on your PC
Try that, and report back.

The future of gaming?
I believe that this service, or one like it, is likely the future of gaming. Look at the trend that consoles have, and the successes of services like Netflix. Truthfully, this is simply a cheaper and pretty stellar concept that seems to be working... http://www.onlive.com" onclick="window.open(this....

Are you talking about something like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKV8ad_YiRo" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; You need an LCD that your console can send information too. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong (I don't know everything), but I am 99% positive the screen needs the P...

You might be able to try using the methods that people use to create 1:1 resin molds of Warhammer 40,000 molds. Depends on size, etc.
