See my website on how to do this, I documented it some years back for a mod of the PSTwo "Game Glass" LCD:

Re: 3.5" LCD with RGB input? (for Nomad modding)
Hey thanks for the reply. I looked up the thread you mentioned and foud it along with the full site documenting the mod: http://club.tgfcer.com/viewthread.php?action=printable&tid=6175537" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Sadly, it looks like he too used composite input. Most people mig...

Re: Will 8.5V kill a psone screen?
The 7.5v supply goes to to 7805 chips which burn off the excess and create a steady 5v. However, it also goes to one pin in the video decoder circuit that is more delicate and not meant to take much more. So your 7805's will definitely get hotter (and they don't have heat sinks) and you may damage y...

3.5" LCD with RGB input? (for Nomad modding)
Very cool mod work being done here: http://forums.benheck.com/posting.php?mode=reply&f=11&t=36273" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; One thing I'd be really interested in is getting RGB input to that mini LCD. Any idea what the chip part number is on that circuit board? I was looking at ...

Re: Replacing the Nomad screen
sorry to bump an old thread, but I just saw this for the first time & it is a very nice looking mod. anybody figure out what the main ADC chip is in the middle? if its one of the common IR3Y/IR29 ones, you can actually get RGB video through them (which the nomad provides)...

Re: Get your hacking tools ready...the GENMOBILE is out!
If anyone gets ahold of one please post if it can play Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, please. I'm very interested in a 100% compatible Genesis. yeah, it plays both from what I've read. There's a huge thread on the sega-16 forums about it and I believe both of these are confirmed to work. -Segasonicfan

Re: Get your hacking tools ready...the GENMOBILE is out!
heh, I might be in and out. I've had to retire from game modding for the most part though due to some health problems. Makes it difficult for me to be on the computer a lot. but I do like checking up on all the mad hacking going on around here :) and my god, a PS3 laptop...is there nothing that can ...

looks like it needs a 5" PSOne screen to go on there
Sadly it is not as good as the Radica though, because it's an emulation of Genesis. Still worth hacking IMO though.

yeah, I made one ages ago. I actually took it on the bus one day and it worked perfectly (I played some metal slug) but sadly there aren't any small versions of the sat out there so the thing was destined to be humongous. the pics are down now cause that was my ancient yahoo photos account and yahoo...

it can do RGB, I figured out the pinout for it. I have modded the IR3Y29B to do RGB before as it has external RGB inputs. Consult the datasheet for this circuit and you'll see what I mean. My hip gear LCD is broken so I never got around to testing the actual hip gear itself, but I am 100% sure it ca...
