Re: HDD format halp.
There is no such thing as "booting into DOS" in NT based systems. :P There is no DOS. It should be a regular SATA drive. Plug it in, boot up, and start Windows normally. Then right-click My Computer, select Manage, then Disk Manager. From there you can delete the partition on the PS3 drive and make...

Re: Mah Birthday!
Happy Birthday! But I just found out something horrifying! I thought OTHER PEOPLE were supposed to get stuff for such an occasion? I've been all wrong these 19 years of my life? CRAP! Think of the money I could have saved not buying people anything!

HDD format halp.
Need to format, or rather reformat, a 40gig 2.5" SATA HDD (A PS3 harddrive, actually. Still has the PS3 OS on it) for memory storage. What format should I choose? Which is the best? Or... Would it be better to just... sell/trade this to a forum member and buy/trade a new, unformatted, drive of equal...

Re: Laptop (computer) cooling methods
Surely if soda has spilled on your laptop what's left of your warranty is going to be void anyway? As long as the screws aren't tampered with, and all tags are intact, I should have a warranty. Don't be so quick to say that. When I worked at the helpdesk at my old school, we had warranty repairs de...

Bump - Updated picture of my bottled soul. Now it reflects what you'll be getting. MUCH better stopper than before, don't you think? (Considering last time is was just a nail with electrical tape wrapped around it to get a seal. Which ultimately failed, so I had to do it this way.)

Re: Happy Easter Everybody!
Easter is a religious holiday?  :P In worship of Easter ([Also known as Semiramis] Spelled the same (In English), but pronounced slightly different. Astarte is the Hebrew (I think) spelling), The pagan goddess of fertility. Ancient pagan worship involved baking cakes (Reference to the ...

Re: N64P
It's a GREAT idea to insult pretty much the ONLY PERSON who can make decent quality n64 portables faster than ANYBODY else, and at a decent price too. his cases might not be supermodels but he has gotten SO MUCH BETTER at portables on the whole since he started. even his cases are better! an...

Re: FS: Lots of STUFF - TWELVE parts remaining
Bump - Might be putting more stuff on here tomorrow.
Including pots, buttons, a switch, couple of old (but good sounding) speakers, and probably a handful of antique (50+/- years), primitive, useless ICs... Unless I decide to keep them because they are pretty freakin' cool.

Re: Laptop (computer) cooling methods
Does unscrewing the back panel to clean the fans really void your warranty? Does your laptop have one of those 'Void if removed' stickers on the backplate? Cleaning the fans out would really help with with the overheating/noise issues, more so than your current makeshift methods It really does void...
