Re: Overclocking your GBA
Hey, sorry to bump a month old topic, but I had a thought about this issue with in-game speed switching. What if there was a way to do it with a halt switch. I remember using one of those in my overclocked genesis to change speeds on the fly. You'd turn the game on with normal speed, flip the halt s...

Re: what is overclocking a gameboy?
Here's a link to a tutorial (with pictures) that will help you understand: http://gieskes.nl/underclocking_or_overclocking_the_gameboy_classic_tutorial/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; In that tutorial, it shows the mod being done to an original, but I believe that both the Pocket and...

Re: The Video Game Music Box
and killjoy, any idea of what tune you'll be picking? :) I look forward to see what you create Well, since it's a paper fed music box, I can create multiple tunes to be used with it. I think for the first one, though, I'm gonna go with the intro to Megaman 3 (it's one of my alltime favorite VG tune...

Re: The Video Game Music Box
He's actually inspired me to do this project myself. I went ahead and bought the one they had on thinkgeek a couple days ago.
My plan is to replace the crank handle with a motor (a variable speed one, for tempo adjustment). I'll post stuff if it all turns out well.

Re: The Video Game Music Box
Maybe this site will help you out:
http://www.unity303.com/musicbox/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It seems like a long and complicated process, but well worth the effort.
Good luck.

Wow, that was very interesting. It's amazing how close they are to us.
All the motions and communication...hell, they even break sticks like I do (well, sometimes I use my knees instead...but still).

Re: GARAGESALES 2008-2009!
Picked up a SMS 3010-A for $1. Score! 8) It didn't come with power, av, or any controllers, but I have already have all that stuff because of my Genesis 1. I cleaned it up, plugged it in, and it worked. It came with Hang-On/Safari Hunt built-in, which was nice, but I also have Kung Fu Kid to play as...

Re: FS: My modded Gp2x
Pretty cool stuff. 8) If it was me, though, I probably would have used a 3rd party Playstation controller with the extra long handles. Then I would've mapped the four main buttons to their respective places and left the start and select buttons as is. P.S. - that plastic flap is the dust cover for t...
