Re: the future of old consoles
...A classic example are other systems - for example TurboGrafx - a great system, but few here have played it, so don't know it (so less interest, so system loses popularity and gets forgotten). In several years time, the same will be true for the NES, SNES and N64. Nostalgia is great whilst nostal...

Re: Why does...?
Play-N-Trade is pretty cool too but the one by me has a pretty limited retro selection. the one across the parking lot from super target? it sucks, but i know the owners, so get better deals than the normal peasants. That's the one, at least there's a Jack in the Box right there too! I need ...

Re: Why does...?
we used to have one called rhino games. it was the best store in the world, because everything was cheap. brand new 360/ps3 games for 40 bucks, [all of them, not just the ones that nobody has ever heard of] and most ps2/xbox/gc games for 10$, and nes and such for really cheap, think .50 cents, and ...

Snowman LED hack
We got some inches of snow so I built a snowman. Inspired by the horse statue at Denver International Airport , I put some red LED eyes in it. http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr307/skeneegee/ledsnowman.jpg I tried to take a night picture but they kept coming out too blurry(I had downed lots of Ke...

Re: Bacteria project: N64³ - ...dead...
Did the remaining wiring, no difference; either the board is fried or I have missed something on the wiring; or it can't be done. Never mind. May have another go at a later time but we'll see. Bacteria, Maybe something simple to check is a trick that vskid mentioned he found at Benheck forums, 1- t...

Re: SERIOUS ISSUE - Extending Cart Connector
I don't know if it would help but you can also put parallel runs of the smaller IDE cable. It will do the same thing as using bigger wire but is probably easier to route. You just have to be sure the parallel wires of the same contacts are the (exact or so) same length as each other, path of least r...

Pelican AV switcher
I have one of these Pelican AV switches that look kinda like a tiny PS2. I was wondering if anyone knows which systems they made the little plastic nametags (above the selector button) for. Or if anyone has a Xbox and/or Saturn tag they would like to donate or trade for N64 and Playstation tags. tha...

Ikaruga vs R.S.
I recently acquired Ikaruga for GC and It's great! Having never played Radiant Silvergun, I have to wonder can R.S. really be that much better than Ikaruga? What do you all think? Has anyone turned their tv on it's side to play Ikaruga? I know the instruction book threatens a fire by doing this, but...

Re: Beep sound? and other Q's
Well, I suppose "backlight" isn't really the right term... To be honest, I don't even remember if it was done to the VMU or just to the controller, but either way, there was an LED providing light so you could see the screen in the dark. I'll see if I can dig it up again to show you. EDIT: I can't ...
Re: Epoxy
Apoxie Sculpt, (http://www.avesstudio.com/Products/Apoxie_Sculpt/apoxie_sculpt.html) it rocks my socks! Non toxic and comes in 10 colors plus it's cheap. It's just like working with clay that gets rock hard in like 3 hrs. You can sand and drill and tap it after it cures. Anyway I've mentioned it her...
