My advce would be to not give up. Keep looking over the forums and find a portable someone has made that you would want and build it (unless you have an idea then start a thread asking questions)

Re: Biohazzrd's Xbox Portable
An 80 gig should be sufficient, at least initially. You may need to spend that money elsewhere. Edit: also, with regard to the screen, you may wish to hold off on deciding the size until you know the final dimensions of the bottom; otherwise, you may wish you had used a larger one. Wouldn't hurt to...

Re: Biohazzrd's Xbox Portable
I was looking around and I found that I can either use a picoATX with an adapter for the xbox (that I cannot find) or I can use the M1 ATX... They have a new M2 ATX but I am unsure if it works also... I will keep digging around... Battery wise I know you can buy batteries and rig them into consoles ...

Re: New Xbox Laptop project -Tips/Advice welcome!
Not a bad idea 22" would be nicer to play on... But it totally blows the whole "portable" word out of the mix... From my experience fixing xbox 360's RROD it never cools down as much as they usually do so they are more prone to RROD so it would be a better Israel use a non RROD console but you don't...

Re: How do I solder this?
Make sure you are using a pencil tip soldering iron and some of the thinnest solder you can find... I have also found that sticking a slim piece of something ie. Cardstock between the solder points helps keep the solder from running but from your picture this looks pretty easy you should try solderi...

Re: Biohazzrd's Xbox Portable
I was thinking mostly on the laptop idea (controlls are much nicer to use when you aren't holding the whole console) ...how did you get yours down to 12v? I've herd of a couple ways by using an ATX power supply... Could you send be a link to a good tutorial or you could always tell be what you have ...

Re: Biohazzrd's Xbox Portable
Yes but I figure that I can use 12v without using the power supply to transform the 120v from the wall... I know it can be done I've seen a couple before... I have also thought about installing a 2.5 hdd or a cf card if that is possible

Biohazzrd's Xbox Portable
I've been looking around and I want to make an xbox portable. I want to follow the xbox micro mod as much as possible as it is about the right size (without batteries and a screen or course) I need to know how I would have to rig up my batteries and whether I should make a laptop or a handheld... I ...

Use Google Maps for video Game?
i want to use Google maps/earth to create maps for my own video game i am working on. I don't know if this is possible, but I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be too hard. Ive played with making maps before and i could create it all from scratch, but it would be a lot easier if i could use the 3D building...

Re: Wii-Mote Mod
I'm kinda excited to see how this plays out I to (like most people) hate the wii mote with a passion and it would be really nice to rig it into an actual useful controller
