On a second note, is that amp circuit designed to boost the NES's video output signal circuit that Ben has in his book required for a PSone or Zenith screen?
I only ask because the book talks as though its only required for the Pocket TV.

I'm trying to fit the orig...

Re: NES PC
If he's using the NES-PC to play emulators than Composite or S-Video out will do just fine. It gives most of the older games a more authentic look from the old days. Plus anything below 800x600 will look alright, when doing projects like this your not exactly aiming for the highest quality video. Un...

Re: Psone to PP 128
I think a lot of people are just ignoring you because they already have all the information on stuff like this posted in some of the Stickies. I do suggest reading the Reference section and all its posts in regards to any information on how to wire things together. You will need to take this apart t...

Re: NES PC
I like the board you picked in regards that it comes with everything to power it and built in wireless. Problem is that it looks that the only available video out is VGA or DVI, which could compromise the stock look of the NES. It looked like that it had a composite video out, but from what the spec...

Re: Original NES Mobo
I've got his book. I've read that section multiple times, but I do believe I could cut off more than he did.
I was just double checking......after ruining a Mini ITX board in me NES-PC i'm a little hesitant about cutting the PCBs.

Re: NES PC
hey riki, its still a probobly though, if it'll be really too hard to have a laptop drive then i can always change it? if space allows anyways, i saw this http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/6409/dsc04672j.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and thought about how to do it, it seems like...

Original NES Mobo
How much can you cut down on the size of the NES mobo? What I'm really asking is that if it has multiple layers or not so if I can cut off some sides of the board to fit into a smaller case? In regards to anyone who says to go with a NOAC or immitation NES, I'm going with the original for 100% compa...

Re: NES PC
Disc drive: The slim external drives are the same as laptop drives, so probably a good chance they'll be IDE. It shouldn't be too hard to find a SATA slim drive. Most slim external drives that are USB powered are SATA, but have a specialized adapter. Now possibly the old external drives that requir...

Re: NES PC
When wanting to attach a DVD drive in the cartridge slot that will still cut down on space you have available inside for your mobo and hard drive. To clear up space you will have to cut out that "T" to make enough space......to consider having room for the CPU's heat sync between that DVD drive. No...

Re: Ipod Classic Woes
I'm surprised no one has responded to this thread...... anyways an update... The ipod is working again!! Ultimately had to give it a hard tap on startup to unjar the hard drive again. Itunes was able to restore it afterwards, but we are still unable to reformat the drive to FAT32, right now its NTFS...

Re: Ipod Classic Woes
On a second note, we need to reformat the drive of the ipod to FAT32. For some reason 3rd party software can never touch it. Either just a failure or it says that it is write protected. Windows only allows us to reformat it to NTFS. We tried earlier versions of Itunes and it still fails. So far no p...
