Re: The 64snap! worklog *case complete*
The case looks amazing, and that piece from the wireless router makes the cart slot look really cool. Great job!

Re: N64 Laptop
I am going to contact the manufacturing company to formally complain. There are tons of sellers with these batteries and none of the sellers are checking the item with a multimeter which is ridiculous in my opinion. These batteries should be off the market, or at least changed in their description....

Re: N64 Laptop
Ok. I'll see if I can find any thinner ones, but they should still be fine if they are an inch thick.

Re: N64 Laptop
Yea Ive heard some pretty terrible reviews on these HK batteries. I am short on cash, and I was having trouble finding relatively inexpensive batteries on batteryspace. Would two of these connected in a series work since I need 12v for my screen? http://www.batteryspace.com/nimhbatterypack6v4500mah2...

Re: N64 Laptop
Ok well that's what I thought you said. I suppose I would have to put the battery pack on the right and left of the cartridge slot, instead of putting it under the mobo like I wanted to. (I plan on putting half the battery on one side, and half on the other. You can do that with a li ion battery rig...

Re: N64 Laptop
Slightly confused here. Leave the expansion pack sticking up (which is like an inch of space being taken up), and put the cart slot on top of the heatsinks facing like it was on the mock up?

Re: New technology review
I think that is a great idea! It would really help out with finding components for building portables and the like. You could simply search the review section for what you are looking for, and add your own reviews on parts and tools you have used to help out other members on the site.

Re: mock up slimmed down
I slimmed the mock up down, and added places where I would like to put controller ports, a charging port, the cartridge slot, a logo on the back and the power button. http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/9571/1029092102b.jpg http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/5870/1029092102a.jpg http://img215.imagesh...

Re: Nintendo 64 laptop: in progress
I agree..that is a great case but a little to thick  id recommend cutting that thickness maybe in half  it actually reminds me of ben's wii laptop. But where would you even put the cart slot on that thing? :? Well as I said I plan on thinning it, and yes I think I can get the bottom...

Re: Nintendo 64 laptop: in progress
Pics of mock up case design. I'm pretty sure I can get it thinner than this.
