Re: WTT my portable supplies for your Xbox 360 (or PS3)
I might do that eventually, but I want to give it at least a few days (maybe a week) to see if anyone's interested in a direct trade. If the time comes and no one is interested, I might price stuff out. On the other hand, if no one is interested in the direct trade, perhaps I'll build a portable or ...

Re: WTT my portable supplies for your Xbox 360 (or PS3)
I assume its past its warranty? Otherwise I assume you would've had Microsoft replace it.

WTT my portable supplies for your Xbox 360 (or PS3)
I want an Xbox 360 system. I'm not picky as far as versions, so long as it still works and can play on Live. Or maybe a PS3. Some stuff I have to trade: 2 Official PSOne screens. Without the original cases though. Think I tossed them. So, just the boards/screens. One of which has a blob of solder ju...

Re: Custom PC Case Xbox 360 FS/FT -250$-
Not sure if you've got a deal pending or what. But I'm curious, is it playable on Live? Can Microsoft detect the changes you made and ban you? I might be interested, depending on the answers to those questions. Even if it's no longer available, I'm still curious about it though. Any more details you...

Re: Mounting A Samsung inside a briefcase. Complete Noob
This may be a personal bias, but I wouldn't go with a screen that has less than a 2000:1 contrast ratio (ignore the dynamic thing). Edit: Then again, I know people who are perfectly happy with a 500:1 contrast ratio, so you should probably ignore me. What's the PSOne LCD ratio? Probably fairly low t...

Recommend some random components?
I'm placing a Mouser order and to be honest I always feel a bit silly buying say, a single component for 50 cents or something. Rather than do that, I'm going to buy some other stuff. I don't want to spend a whole lot though. Nothing too expensive. I just want to get some random stuff that it'd be n...

1. Bacteria
2. spinout
3. Thewizdawg's SNES
Edit: Thewizdawg has two portables in this so people who voted for him should probably edit their posts and say which one they're voting for.

Arctic Silver is generally thought to be the best at what it does. I'd go with that over stock, if you're worried about heat.

Re: PSTwo/Sony 5" LCD/RGB/green tint - Here's the complete FIX!
 I'm quite dense. All this time I thought the stuff you were doing was on the PS2 itself and not the screen. I must have misread the first time I read this thread or something. It makes more sense now, though. Since it's only the PSOne screen that has the issues. Doh. Now I'm even m...

Re: PSTwo/Sony 5" LCD/RGB/green tint - Here's the complete FIX!
Just in case I get my PS2 working (which would be fricken incredible), got a question. You mention lifting up the capacitors that you connect your RGB lines to. I assume by that, you mean you're severing the connection to that extra unneeded circuitry you discovered. Anyways, what would happen if I ...

Just watched your video. Very nice man, I love the colors. Has a professional feel while still keeping a sort of retro look with the green. You know, some of the flavor of the original Tiger game.

Is there a fuse I can jump on the PS2 Slim?
I built a PS2p three years ago. It worked great for a couple days, and then I apparently fried it when I opened it up to adjust something with the controller. I didn't know what I did. No matter what though, it wouldn't power on. I spend countless hours messing with it but it seemed to be dead. A fe...

Re: Finished SNES Portable
Very nice, clean portable. No LED mod, I see. Good choice. I'm a bit of purest and for consoles that don't suck as much power, I'm in the "keep the CCFL" line of thinking. I know many would disagree around here, and I understand why (who wouldn't want more battery life?). If your battery lasts long ...
