mako321 wrote:Well, how did you try to add the LED?
the way i usually do,

|---------resistor--------VOLTAGE
LED
|------------------------GND

I'm just wondering, does the Gameboy Colour have a fuse? if so where is it? and could this have blown it?

Re: Gameboy Color Paint Job

Why not just remove them? They pop out pretty easily. You don't want to get paint on them, though. They make the best contact when clean. If you do try to tape around them, it's gonna look like you did, you'd be better off taking them out entirely. Have you even opened the GBC yet? You should have ...

Re: Gameboy Color Paint Job

you could always put it in a sealed ziplock bag. that'll keep dust particles off of it. how about one of them plastic sandwich bags? not really for a couple reasons: 1 - it doesn't seal to keep air out 2 - the plastic is much flimsier and will not come off from the sticky part of the screen protect...

Re: LED Game Cartridge

i=u/r => u=ixr => r=u/i when u have 5v on bat and U use led witch need 20mA u need 5v/0.02A = 250Ohm than if LED is 3.6V&20mA than u can find 3.6v on LED and 1.4V on R. R talk about what current can go/flow thru him ,if U change r to 300Ohm than i=5v/300 i=0.01666 and LED is not so bright cause u=3...

lovablechevy wrote:it can remain sticky, it just depends how well you take care of it while it's off. if it sits out too long while not protected, then the sticky will get covered in dust and debris and won't adhere anymore.
Cool, thanks, where do you suggest putting it to avoid this?

Re: Gameboy Color Paint Job

Once you take the guts out, the screen itself goes with them. To pop out the cover, just apply pressure from inside the case carefully, and it should pop right off. It can be replaced after you paint with double-sided tape or glue. Okay thanks, I was hoping to get it off and be able to put it on wi...

Gameboy Color Paint Job

Hey guys, along with adding a front light I decided to paint my GBC, I have metal hammer Grey, it's pretty sweet and gives it a metal texture, I practiced painting my battery cart and it looks cool, what I was wondering was what should I do when I get to the front of it? I'm gonna take it all apart ...

Re: LED Game Cartridge

Thanks. I thought that Resistors only dropped the Voltage, not the Amps. And I thought that Thin Wire would decrease the resistance... But I was incorrect there! And of course, you would put thicker wire where the Main Power is  Thank You. I'd like to refer you to my essay/metaphor on it. ...
