Can't find anything of relevance on Google? http://www.google.com/search?q=SATA+power How about checking Wikipedia for the SATA power connector? It's only the first result. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_ATA#Power There's always the option of grabbing your multi-meter and checking the pins! :ro...

When it comes to floating-point values it's darn near impossible to get exact values. Finding if x=10.0000 is just as hard as trying to find when x=10.39740. Round numbers don't help, and are typically worse than weird decimal values. You have a few options. First, you could use two integer/long var...

Best way to mod/replace heatsink? Just replace it! You should be able to use off-the-shelf heatsinks, or modify with different fans. And, you can always cut it down with a hack saw. How thin in inches could I get it? I don't think you could go much thinner than about 2", even with all your slim comp...

I'm working on a laptop myself, but if I had the resources to BUY stuff I wouldn't make a laptop at all! I'd make a handheld, which seems perfectly feasible. Main board is about 8"x8.5", and only a few components required to reduce thickness. If you REALLY want to save space, ditch the HDD and the D...

seb,
For all things related to xbox modifications I found the resources at http://xbox-scene.com most useful. You'll probably find out more about what will/won't work from them.

Yes, that drawing was done in Google SketchUp. My primary reason for using this product is because it's free, not because I particularly like it or have any experience with it. Thanks for the link about the wireless keyboard with touchpad, but I think I'll keep things wired. I've been looking at the...

XBMC laptop
Hello all! This is my first post, but I've been doing some pretty major reading here and from Ben's projects. Whew, what a wealth of information! So, I have set it in my mind to build an Xbox Laptop. I know, not very original, but I have most of the materials, so why not? It should be fun. Now, I'm ...
