Re: Soldering Station opinions
@ pkmnjunky7 and jdmlight No problems with the tip cooling down? I see that it's pretty much a dimmer switch on a regular cord, and I'm slightly concerned that there's no feedback from the iron to the base. I don't mind ordering tips on-line, I'm just trying to avoid something that's going to be imp...

FS/T thread- EVERYTHING MUST GO.
Title says it all, really. I'm losing my house, my job, and my shop at the end of June. I'll be moving into student housing, so I've got a lot of stuff to get rid of. I'm not really interested in trades, since I'm losing most of my storage space, but there are a few things I'd accept as a trade. Stu...

Soldering Station opinions
I'm in the market for a new adjustable temperature soldering station. My limit's about $75-$100. I'm sick and tired of burning through cheap RatShack irons like kindling. I like Weller brand, but I'm open to others, provided I hear good things about them. There are a few MUST haves, any other things...

Bump.
The N64 racing set, SMS, and Pentium processors are going on e-Bay Tuesday. If you'd like them before then, make an offer.

Hmmm. The article was posted in 2007. Anything more recent on that?

Very nice so far! I like your incorporated lid design. Your sanding's looking good so far. Don't give up on it, though. It gets dull as hell, but the end result is so worth doing it right!

Re: GBA SP extended battery?
The DS Phat battery will fit with very minor modifications. You'd have to clip off some plastic, but it fits perfectly, and charges perfectly. Mine's marked for 850 mAh. A DS Lite battery would require some more modifying. You'd have to peel the plastic housing off completely, then rewire the contac...

Cigarette Smoking Man. He didn't really die in that fire, he just wanted everyone to think he did. He's to blame for everything.

Re: Sega Game Gear Help. !@!
Replace the caps. They're ancient and very poor quality. The voltage must be at least the rating in there now, but it can be higher. The capacitance, in farads, can vary a bit. The tolerance is usually around 20%. EvilTim has a fantastic page on repairing the caps. He's even got the best chart of wh...

Re: Atari "2600"
Chris Koopa did one with a 2.5" LCD. You can get one off e-Bay or DealExtreme for reasonably cheap.
