Are you actually going there? I'm a Mechanical Engineer there, granted I took this last year away from there but I'm going back for the Fall Semester. The Engineering department is amazing, you'll have a blast.lifeisbetterwithketchup wrote:But anyway, I'm going to Bradley University in Peoria, IL. Majoring in EE.

Judging by the picture, it looks to be 4:3 so it's not HD, I believe he said it does do Component so he can use that.XCVG wrote:Okay, is that screen HD? Also, does it have component video inputs? If the answer to both is yes, then component is probably your best choice!

Currently studying to be an ME, one of these days I'll be designing and building things you all use every day  I'm wanting to get into the Auto Racing field with it, not F1 per se but somewhere up there. And I'm doing Technical Theatre as a minor, I'm hoping to keep going with that as a side jo...

Re: X-Book (XBox Laptop)
You can't get HDMI from an xBox, the best you can get is VGA. If you'd like to go with VGA you have to have special BIOS for it, I haven't dived too deep into it yet though, I'm not sure if you can do with a TSOP flash either. I'm thinking of doing it on my xBox but not sure of where to find the BIO...

Have you formatted the Laptop HDD yet? If you haven't I'd highly recommend using the Slayer's HDD Formatting disc, you can grab it from xBins and it works wonders on getting your partitions correct, I used it on my 320GB drive and have never had any issues with sectors corrupting or anything. Tetris on a graphing calculator FTW. After quizes in my Calc 2 class I'll boot up my TI-89 Titanium and start playing it, it's a blast.

Re: what's the dumbest thing a non-hacker has said to you?
I've gotta take one for the team and say one about myself. A few years ago (2004-ish?) I was talking with a guy about video games and I mentioned BenHeck (I had just heard of the site at the time), and soon our conversation led to a portable PS2. This quickly brought out the iconic line of: "Dude, i...

Re: what's the dumbest thing a non-hacker has said to you?
So today, a friend was helping built the set for our Spring show, and she said she turned off my Shuffle while I was gone, and then brought up the new ones, which I said sucked but she said was awesome, which caused her to say "It's better than anything Microsoft has ever made" (keep that line in me...

Let's see: -Specialized Hard Rock MTB (geared, started as a SS when my brother owned it) -S&M L.A.F. BMX bike (take a wild guess as to what L.A.F. stands for, it weighs 27 pounds with LH pegs and rear 990s) -Old Raleigh that I've built as a fixie (amazing to ride, especially on recon trips to downto...

Re: any one know the best settings /config for Utorrent?
For the port forwarding go into Preferences and the click on Connection on the left-hand pane, near the top you'll find a check box that says "Randomize port each start", uncheck that and then set the port you want to use above that, once you hit Apply you'll be set for life on that. Look at the gui...

Re: best XBOX DVD drive and best harddrive swap solution?
If you're looking for easy, just modchip it, super easy to solder the pin header and the d0 is a hair tricky but very doable. Plus you can swap in large HDDs no problem and run Slayer's on it and it'll be good to go (I have a 320GB drive in mine, formatted it with Slayer's and everything has been go...
