--- CODENAME: SPACE CADET - UPDATED AND FINISHED! ---
Finally , after having made three SNES portables, I am able to make a work log for this one. I got the SNES desoldered, ready to rock. The cartridge slot is rewired, near ready to be reattached to the board, just waiting for some things -- which I need help with http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic....

Shrinking mini SNES
Has anyone shrunk the mini SNES any further? I have looked around the forums and haven't found anything; maybe I'm blind. Essentially I want to cut off anything to the right of the red line. I need to know where the traces are for the switch, though, since I would be cutting straight through those t...

Re: FS: Wooden SNES portable - $300USD shipped
Indeed, you really shouldn't have to worry about splinters at all. I and a few of my friends have played it and have had no issues. Thanks, thoughcom64 wrote:That looks like a great piece of art, but my only problem is... OUCH, A SPLINTER!

FS: Wooden SNES portable - LOWERED PRICE
Hello, again! I started this portable SNES in June of 2009. It was my test model, trying to figure out how everything worked. It never got finished, once I finished the wiring, not to mention using plastic instead of wood for the case. I started another SNES portable, and used parts from this one. I...

Re: N64 stopped working - need help
If you have access to a scope, check all the pins on the outboard side of the chip (away from the rcp). If you're not getting any signal, you probably fried your dac. :( I honestly don't even know what you are talking about :-P The best thing I got is a multimeter. I don't know what an rcp or dac a...

N64 stopped working - need help
Hi, all! I’m working on a N64 and it quit on me. It was working before I took it apart. All I did was extend the A/V and power plugs, plus remove the power switch and reset button. The power switch is now an always on. I’ve tried the troubleshooting methods mentioned here around the forum, the 7805 ...

Re: New Custom Gamecube Regulator! Updated!!! GC Power Draw!!!
Note you can use TI regulators for the 3.4v and 5v line. I just use these switching regulators cause they produce less heat. I'm not going to bother with diagrams as it is very straight forward and all the info you need is in this thread and in the datasheets. If someone feel like making some by al...

Re: Lithium Polymer Batteries -- How to wire and what to buy.
Ok, I've read through the entire post, but before I go ahead and get the stuff I want to clarify. I want two (2) 3.7v Li-Po @ 2500mAh wired in series to equal 7.4v @ 2500mAh. The two batteries each have their own PCM(PCB). I have a few questions, though. 1) Do I still need the PCM/PCB for 7.4v that ...

Li-Po charging question
I have a charging question and I just want to be sure I am thinking right. If I have two Li-Po 3.7v @ 2500mAh in series, which would equal 7.4v @ 2500mAh, would I charge the new "pack" as though it were a 7.4 battery? Meaning I could still use the charger/ac adapter that the psOne screen uses, corre...
