Re: NES laptop
Oh yeah, just wondering... I'm not shunned forever for not finishing a project, right? I know it was my first, and I abandoned it, my post count is sub-100, and I still don't have a sig...

Re: 10.2 screen w/ Xbox 360? Nah... ahm makin a laptop!
I know that I could do these for sure: 1) Tie the screen into the 360's fan power IIRC, the 360's fan header starts at 5v, then steps up to 12v, so powering the screen from that would give it irregular voltage, wouldn't it?. The fans say that they run on 12v though, so I was under the impression th...

Re: Xbox 360 controller mod
This reminds me of something I heard on the radio a while back. They were saying if a koala could play halo, it would own everyone because they have two thumbs on each hand/paw. They could jump, shoot and move all at once.

Re: 10.2 screen w/ Xbox 360?
Oh crap my Dibs are showing! I can solder, because there was a lot of stuff that I removed or changed positions so that I could get the screen a bit smaller. : 1) I removed the headphone jacks and tied together all the speakers 2) I removed the media buttons (menu, brightness, volume, etc) an...

10.2 screen w/ Xbox 360? Nah... ahm makin a laptop!
I've seen people who put a PSOne screen onto their PC with the vga mod, and I think somebody else put a PSOne screen onto their xbox. Well, I had a screen lying around, http://www.amazon.com/Intec-G7700-10-2-Screen-Playstation-3/dp/B001HKZ3UY When I got it, the hinges were broken, and the screen loo...

Re: Fixing Xbox 360s as Summer Income
The thing is, you're forgetting a few factors in your plan. A) Shipping on the 360's from eBay. Cuts into your profit margin, and 5 360's aren't going to be cheap. B) RRoD's aren't simple to fix, if they were then there wouldn't be so many bulk lots on eBay. You'd be lucky to be able to fix more th...

Fixing Xbox 360s as Summer Income
Hi guys, title says it all. Since I work within the school system, I have two summer months off. I have some experience with fixing 360s, and what problems I haven't learned how to fix sound easy enough. My idea is, buy the first batch of 5 rrod consoles off of ebay. About $40 each, so $200 total. M...

Not sure that my opinion would count, really, since I'm new here. Hypothetically, if it did, though, I would say to keep all the NESs together for the sake of simplicity. I've been eavesdropping since February. :D I work a 7-3 shift, that's the only reason I'm taking a break tonight. (Plus it's New ...

Notice how I said a RETRO gaming console laptop section, considering half the BenHeck members are all 9 year olds who just want to make an XBox laptop. It's few the ones with ideas about a RETRO game console laptop (which one day I might (should) try). Why in the world would we make a section just ...

Okay, some idea revisions are at hand. I opened the NES Advantage, gutted out the motherboard, and proceded to melt out all the un-needed screw posts and other stuff with my soldering iron. I removed the RF box from my NES board, and managed to file down the grounding on one side of the board. And I...

Wanna swap the psone for a 7" screen? I will swap, if you want. I also have a nice 6". That's okay. I'm still a noob with hacking and whatnot, and the ps1 has the most documentation to help me out. Not to mention, I plan on just adding some bondo or epoxy putty to the ps1 screen to make the shape. ...
