Starting my first SNESp. Help getting started?
Hello everyone, today I bought this bundle off of craigslist for just $5.00. I figure it's good for something, especially because it came with a SNES! BUT, it happens to be just a SNES, not one of those mini-SNES'. So what I was wondering before I went off and purchased an LCD screen and case and al...

Re: Quick battery question
While we're here talking about batteries, I'm a noob, but I'm beginning a SNESp build, and my dad has some spare batteries lying around. They say 6V4.5AH on the front. Could I use this as a power source for my SNESp?

Nice so far. I haven't done that kind of sanding, but I heard you shouldn't breathe the dust. Also, get some smaller wire, that stuff you used on the screen is huge. Go to a local Thrift Shop and make one of these suckers. Easy to do, plus it's fun for people who enjoy the type of work. http://www....

Yes! Found a great craigslist deal! Just bought all of this for just $5.00!

Should give me everything I need (and maybe a bit more) in order to pull off a SNESp.

Re: My first PS1 build, first build ever actually!
Okay, I have the eBook, it's really a great book. I've already learned so much about amps, volts, watts, all of that good stuff. I'm looking around at what kind of screen I should get, they're expensive (for me at least). I tried the cigar box. Sadly, it isn't (or hasn't) come out as I'd planned / h...

Facepunch studios? doesn't sound very friendly. Anyway, just make sure to read the stickies like the poster above me said. I would like to officially welcome you to benheck, too. :) Thanks a lot dude, yeah FPS is more of a PC Gamer's forum. Focused on Garry's Mod, a Half Life 2 mod that's pre...

Thanks for the help man, I like this forum, people actually respond in a nice manner, a LOT more helpful than facepunch studios! I'll be sure to check it out. Does Ben have an eBook as well?

Re: Possible Screen
I'm planning on using a Zune 30G screen for my project, but I have 2 dead Zunes (FAILURE) laying around. If you can find a replacement screen on the net, I'm pretty sure they're reasonably priced. Also, just out of curiosity, is your avatar a picture of Adolf Hitler reading Mein Kampf smoking a pipe...

My first PS1 build, first build ever actually!
Hi, as you can tell by my posts, I'm ENTIRELY new to ben heck forums, though I've known about his site for a good while. I happen to have a spare PS1 lying around, going to waste. This would be my FIRST project, so- I have a few questions about getting started: -What kind of screen is cheapest to us...

Re: PSOne case ideas?
How about a roomy cigar box? That would be really pro, the wood is very easy to work with and smells just amazing. Also, it would look really stylish if you did it in a non-hasty fashion. I plan on sticking my PS1 into a cigar box!

Re: Should I start a GC portable summer project?
A 700.0 mAh Battery couldn't power anything could it? I'm just trying to use anything I already have as resources for a project.

Re: Should I start a GC portable summer project?
Start out with something easier than a gamecube. A NOACp or a SNOACp would be your best choice as a first. Okay, well I picked up a fully functional PS1 at the thrift shop about 3 weeks ago for just $1 the other day. Would that still be too intense to work on? I'd LOVE to have a working SNES, but I...

Hi, as you can tell by my posts, I'm ENTIRELY new to ben heck forums, though I've known about his site for a good while. I happen to have a spare GameCube lying around, going to waste. I have a Wii, so it's really no biggie if something goes wrong with it (though I'd hope it doesn't). I have a few q...

Re: Overclocking your GBA
Could you rather use a scroll wheel or something similar, a lot like the one used for volume, to turn the processing speed up or down. Instead of directly on or off?
