Actually, I don't need to shread it to use it. It has a video in port already and I have wired up an external speaker for the console.Metallica Man X wrote:That screen is a BEAST! I wouldn't shred that, I'd put it on a shelf and enjoy its anchient-ness

Re: I might be trying again.
I'm flat broke guys. I only paid $3 for this screen, and I'm going to use it on the Genesis for the competition. When I can get a color screen, I'll replace the old one and put the B&W on the flashback.

Re: exploit your noobishness
After researching I found the 32X uses a duel cart slot, so it could be permanent. What about a duel ac adapter on the back of the consule like an N64 with a switch and throw in some batteries? So let's say you're in genesis mode- power goes to the genesis and recharges the genesis battery- the 32X...

Re: Portable-making contest again?
My portable is finished, with the exception of a hole I need to dremel, and I also need to firmly attach the screne because it broke off last time.

Re: I might be trying again.
Do an Atari. The lack of color is not a big deal on those. I have always thought it would be cool to do a portable that was actually possible to build back then... You know, mini CRT, lead acid batteries... I'll do the Atari next time. The Genesis 3's form factor is too good to pass...

Re: Portable-making contest again?
Gump-in-space - looks like your C-sync or RGB signals might be weak, or maybe hooking up a composite signal and connecting it to RGB and C-sync or using composite from a console in one region on a screen from another (these scenarios can give a monochrome image instead of colour). My screen is 25 y...

Re: Portable-making contest again?
I've already got my rig running off batteries. Here's three words to describe my portable: Utilitarian, modest, monochrome. In fact, I'll call it Genechrome, possibly the world's first black and white sceened Genesis portable. Also, to do most things with it other than play the game, you open its li...

Re: Portable-making contest again?
Excuse me, but I have a question before I commit to the competition. It says in the rules that the system must have on-board controls, but how extensive does it have to be? I don't think I can do any better than firmly attaching a controller in its entirety to the portable and place its cord inside ...
