Re: my new avatar - looking for feedback
Would it happen to have anything to do with a certain pro football team? Or does it have something to do with a certain iconic motorcycle company? No, although I guess the face looks a bit like that of the Eagles logo. Not sure what motorcycle company, but no, that was not it either. Looks like it'...

Re: Avatars: what is with the hats?
I see I've spurred at least one individual (bicostp) to revert his avatar.
I guess it's too late to Christmas-ify my avatar, but perhaps I will come up with the image anyway and just save it for next year. Or maybe I'll procrastinate...

my new avatar - looking for feedback
I decided that I needed an avatar.
This is what I came up with:
Anyone care to guess where I got the inspiration for it?
Looking for comments and advice as well. Thanks.

Avatars: what is with the hats?
What is with the Santa-style hats on everyone's avatars? Is it just a winter thing? Is it just a weird meme limited to the benheck forums? bicostp http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/8761/xmas2007kw7.gif palmertech http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm198/palmertech/frogavatar-text-hat.png SpongeBuel...

Re: A totally insane idea that just may work...
There WAS an N64 web browser cart back in the day, with a keyboard and evrything. I seem to remember it being really, really limited though; I forget exactly what the limitations were. Google has never heard of this n64 web browser? I also have never heard of it. Are you sure you weren't thinking o...

Re: A totally insane idea that just may work...
Nintendo might be able to pull it off, but we cannot (at least not the way you are describing). You'd be better off hacking something that can already do internet (such as a PDA) and figuring out how to hack the video to the screen. In other words, you'd have two different systems inside the portabl...

Re: First case ever made advise
On average how much does that cost? i dont plan to start making the case until i get it together and working and all i really have is the controls done (which i know will have to be taken apart when i get to making the case) while i wait for my SNESmini and my PSOne screen (i was an idiot and bough...

Re: GARAGESALES 2008-2009!
I could have bought a Game Gear at a thrift store for $16, but it said there was no sound and I didn't really want it. I thought about buying it to trade/sell but I don't think it's worth much. $16 is high, although the speaker thing isn't much of an issue (they are almost all broken by this point,...

Re: Less than 2 weeks left before S-Day
Getting back to your original topic... The thought had occurred to me as well, and like you, I was initially pleased at the thought of a cheap supply of portable TVs. However... Thinking a little bit more long-term, I think the average person finding one in their closet is going to just chuck it whe...

Re: Features that need to be added to the new forum
A working "Log me in every time I visit" option. It never works, on like 4 different computer I have used, it never works. That's a problem with the server. It works for a few days/week(s), then I'm guessing the server restarts, and it logs you out. No it happens like 5 times a day. not every few d...

Re: What are some well known portable LCDs/Pocket TV w/ inputs
No one ever lists them because almost all portable TVs have them for some inexplicable reason (who's honestly going to hook up a huge DVD player to the little screen?). It will be a little port on the side - just make sure it isn't the headphone port. Ben mentions several different models in his boo...

Re: Broken Game Gear
I don't know what you did to the Game Gear, but in my experience, the speakers often go out. I bought one used, and there's no sound other than using headphones. In fact, I don't know the last time I saw one that had working speakers...

Re: First case ever made advise
Ok well i have about $100 to spend on my case, i have no tools yet to build one and i am making the SNESp with a PSOne screen. I have sketch of what i want (not very original) but its my first. I have seen all of the tips and everything but what is the best way to make a case for beginners and that...

Re: Features that need to be added to the new forum
How about a central list of all portables? Sort of like this: Project Name - Creator - System - Notes - Rating and the list would be sortable by all of those categories (except notes). Notes would be primarily for noting things like "no battery - AC only," "NOAC system," "GOAC system," etc. Also, a ...
