Disabling the lockout chip will definitely stop the blinking. But if your connector is worn out, which it probably is, then you'll just get a solid color screen instead of a blinking one.
Ideally, you should both disable the lockout chip and get a new connector.

I'm kinda (and I mean kinda) interested in the Dreamcast Code cable thingy. Can you eleborate on what it does? Like what do you mean "Put code into the dreamcast". Basically, if you're writing Dreamcast software, you could use the cable to transfer it to the Dreamcast to test it, instead of having ...

Re: N64 keeps resetting
Before resorting to getting a new N64, I thought it might be worth trying a different ac adapter. So I bought one and so far, the problem seems to be gone.

Re: Game Genie damaging to carts?
I've been using the Game Genie for a long time, and my carts all still work fine. In fact, I integrated my game genie into my NES, and haven't had any problems.

Re: N64 keeps resetting
Oh, this is just my regular N64. I'm not portablizing it or anything. I guess I should've said that before.

N64 keeps resetting
Lately my N64 keeps resetting by itself. It usually happens after playing for half an hour or so. Also, the picture looks slightly flickery, like the refresh rate is too low or something. The flickering gets worse just a few moments before it resets. I thought it might be overheating, but it doesn't...

Re: Modding a front loading NES into a top loading NES
I recommend using the connector from a Game Genie. It's the most reliable 72-pin connector I've found.
