I used a caribiner (those clip things mountain climbers use). I found a cheap one my work gave to me and popped the clip part out and the grooved part (along with a little downward force) got the screws out no problem. Here is some pics: http://img313.imageshack.us/img313/2025/biner13fn.th.jpg http:...

I should make a revision to my last post - not all movie theatres are bad, just most of the chain ones. There is a couple movie theatres in Austin TX called the Alamo Drafthouse where for what it costs to get a bucket of popcorn, a soda, and a candy bar in at a megaplex one can get a burger, fries, ...

Some NOACs (the SuperJoy III that I have is one) don't have built in games. Instead, they have a cartridge (famicom compatible) with the games on it. So if you want to play the games (which aren't that bad - they include some basic Nintendo and Atari games and look and sound pretty close to the real...

High MCD leds can be decieving because, though they may be bright, most of that brightness is often focused into a narrow beam. Often times lower mcd leds with higher beam angles can actually be brighter overall. A higher beam angle is good for the LED mod as well because it starts spreading the bea...

PNPs aren't always designed for this, so getting a low forward voltage drop may not be easy. Also, if you don't pay attention to voltage levels and whether you hook you batteries to the emmitter or the collector, you could get current running into your batteries when you plug your wall adapter in. T...

You all are making this way too hard. The best way to include uninteruptable power supply is using diodes. I have done this on my SNESP an I can play on batteries, plug the wall adapter in, pull out the batteries (and vice versa), and not have the system reset. The key is to get low forward drop (Sc...

I am using a switching regulator in the NOAC, so running it off of 4 recharchables won't matter. Also, if they aren't fully charged, it doesn't matter (as long as they aren't close to being fully discharged), as they hover around 1.2V for almost their whole discharge cycle. If I charge them all the ...

I just got the thing to run off of 5 AA NiMHs, but 4 won't do it (they aren't freshly charged but if the thing dies partly through their discharge cycle it is no good as far as I'm concerned). 4 alkalines would work, but who wants to use disposables. Oh well, if I gotta use 5, I might as well use 8....
