I really like the idea of an emulator built into a controller, good luck!

Great job! Here's my modded DC. It's a model 0 with the heat pipes. It has a toggle switch on the left side which selects between stock 200Mhz and overclocked 240Mhz. The 40Mhz oscillator I used to overclock it is visible through a window in the GD compartment. At stock 200Mhz the power led is orang...

So I have been messing with my cube, and I was walking some place solving it and it fell apart. I know how to re-assemble but one of the center pieces stems broke off. :( If the center broke off, it's more than likely unfixable. Most of them are held in with rivets, but some older cubes and and DIY...

My best official time is 20.4 on 3x3x3
I'm hoping to get a sub 20 at the Boulder, CO tournament next month.

http://www-unix.ecs.umass.edu/~dhowland/mod/ This is the directions I used for my Genesis mod. I took it to 10mhz and it seems pretty stable for most games. If you're going to order an oscillator anyway, you could also pick up a multi color LED (one with 3 leads). If you switch speeds with a double ...

If you're going to paint it anyway, I think styrene would be a lot easier to work with. Acrylic takes much more effort to sand because it's so durable. My arms would hurt for weeks from sanding and filing pieces for puzzles I've built. However the payoff is worth it afterwards since it has such a ni...
