Issue with monitor?
I have an 18.5" hp monitor I'm using for my xbox 360 portable. The screen is connected to the 360 via homebrew vga cable. The cable has been tested on other xbox's, the xbox has been tested with other 360 video cables, the xbox has been tested with the cable on other monitors. What's left it the mon...

Looking for some ideas for my Xbox laptop project.
To answer some of your questions, I would suggest a Dell or Hp speaker bar. Powered by USB, small compact, good stuff. I can't remember what it's called at the moment, but there is a part on digikey you can use for ouch sensitive buttons. Benheck used it in one of his portables. I'll try to find a l...

Uninstall Norton Antivirus
Hey. A little late now. But I use a tool called revo-uninstaller. Works WONDERS. I repair computers and this is the tool I use to remove antivirus like norton(pain I know). There is a free version and a paid version. Free works great. A google search should get you the download.

Re: Portable Xbox Speakers (Help!)
What you'll need to do is connect L/R/G directly to the xbox motherboard. http://www.element-14.com/community/docs/DOC-26070/l/episode-6-ben-mods-a-rock-band-kit" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Ben Heck describes the audio situation at about 8:40. cant seem to find the exact pinout i...

Re: Portable Xbox Speakers (Help!)
Well you won't have a driver issue with the xbox because you'll be hard wiring it. Solder the L/R/G to the AV pins on the AV cable connector if your using VGA. (good pinouts and info here : http://www.engadget.com/2006/11/14/how-to-turn-a-standard-xbox-360-video-cable-into-a-vga-cable-fo/" onclick="...

Re: Portable Xbox Speakers (Help!)
Okay I'm not 100% sure about those, but I'd imagine that the data lines in the usb cable are L/R. and then there is just one ground for the whole usb connection. Do you have the audio controller out of the speaker casing? Look around the pcb for L/R connections, usually speakers label all that prett...

Re: Portable Xbox Speakers (Help!)
The easiest way, I'd say, is to just connect the audio left, audio right, and ground to the Xbox 360 av cable. Use pc speakers with USB power so you can plug It into the 360 for power, and cut the 3.5mm headphone jack off the other side to match the pinouts eith the av cable.

Re: Best way to fix 3 Red Rings?(YET AGAIN)(URGENT)(RAM ERROR)
dont you think the heatgun would work, sorry for posting so many threads. how do I do the towel trick? Thanks The heat gun will work fine if you have a steady hand. I just fixed two consoles with 0110 with heatgun. Do the top side first, 10 seconds on all 4 sets of chips (cpu, gpu, ram) 3 times. Wa...

Re: Universal Intverter?
LOL. Fun stuff. :P The OP had a relevant question, maybe this inverter is smaller than the one for an LCD he has, which would be useful in a portable. And to answer the OP's question, it should work for a regular monitor. Most monitors have a fairly standard fluorescent backlight. You could always g...
