Re: Wireless N64 controller?
Or, we could all go the easy way and built the Gamecube-to-N64 adapter and mod a Wavebird into an N64 controller shell.

Re: I told myself I wouldn't make a thread for this one, but...
I took a yearbook design class, so let me tell you, empty space is just fine if it's strategically placed. Now, I am going to be using a PSP joystick for this portable. Even for such a small range of motion, they're pretty sensitive, and I have no problem using it like a regular joystick. I had to t...

Diminuendo - Yes, check the third picture. The shoulder buttons are going on the cart slot cover most likely. Gamax - The cartridge slot holds the cartridge very well. It won't fall out. And just because there's nothing showing outside the case under the screen, doesn't mean there's nothing there in...

It's going to be hardwired into the handheld.

...I just can't seem to help myself. Name? Dunno. This one will have a memory card built in, the RAM swap, RCP wiring, and hopefully somewhere around 4 hours of battery life. The back is a sheet of metal, and that will act as the heatsink. Dimensions are about 3.75x5.5x1.25", with the cart on the ba...

Re: Wireless N64 controller?
Wait, don't buy those! I made the same mistake. Those are only one-way. You need transceivers, not a transmitter and a receiver. It needs to be able to send data both ways on only one pin.

Re: Wireless N64 controller?
I was going to try to implement a wireless controller for my first N64p. I bought two Xbee transcievers for this. They would probably work. I still haven't learned how to use microcontrollers, though. If you combined it with this, though, it would be really easy.

Re: Found a Kawesome amp... unfortunately
These look like PSOne screen-style speakers with just a big plastic case around them. You could probably get them out easily, and they're only $4 shipped. ;) http://cgi.ebay.com/Dell-Inspiron-5100-replacement-laptop-speakers-/220632045898?pt=PCA_Speakers&hash=item335eb1d94a#ht_484wt_715" onclick="wi...

Re: Found a Kawesome amp... unfortunately
I wasn't criticizing you, it's great for a premade amp. I was just pointing out that the chip can also be bought online.

Re: Stella: Atari FB2 Pocket-Sized Portable
By washed out, do you mean the colors are kind of dull and the screen is really bright? That's how it is with Stella, as well. It's evident when it's hooked up to a TV. The colors are still there and it looks fine, so I don't let it bother me. With the board you took off, did it have just the volume...

Re: Found a Kawesome amp... unfortunately
I see that board has a TDA2822 chip. Those seem to be pretty common. I've scavenged them from many old electronics, and used that chip in two portables. (Gonna be a third soon. ) They're really nice little chips, with TONS of gain. With an N64, I had to put 1 MEG (1,000k) resistors on the aud...

I've seen that before; it's pretty old. I give it a 1 in 10 chance of being completed.
