If you don't remove the connector, you're going to end up with a rather large gcp. I have a pretty big case, and since my soldering skills arent great, I just left the connector on. You can easily extend the fan's wire... just cut it and solder longer wires between the old connections. I'm pretty sure you could find that heatsink on ebay. If you get one, it has a side-blowing fan inside, so you wouldn't need the old stock fan anymore. To power it, you could get the right voltag...

I love epoxy putty and that 5 minute epoxy syringe stuff. It's okay to use hot glue for small things, right? As long as you arn't mounting large stuff with it?

Hey, because of size constraint issues I am having to install my motherboard upside down. the only problem I see is that the AV port is no longer facing up towards my screen but I still see pins on the side B below the AV port. I assume I can just wire onto those and get the same result right? Yes....
