Re: Project GBOsnes! NOT DEAD! :D
I'm really looking forward to seeing more progress on this. The best projects are always the ones that require seasoning for many years in large oak barrels. Long portable builds are also good  You know I actually have a cousin who can walk and speak who is younger than this project. Just saying.

Re: 2 Controllers Into 1
Well you'll need to do the electrical connections somehow. Soldering is just the most durable and versatile of methods. Hopefully the chip you get will be a DIP packaging which is larger than the chip in the picture you have there which shows what appears to be an SOIC package. When you showed heaps...

Re: 2 Controllers Into 1
Sorry for causing any panic. Micro's original circuit uses two of the four NAND gates on the chip to make an AND gate so you'll have everything you need. If you got only one chip just make sure that you're very careful when soldering it. If overheated these chips have been know to die, make sure tha...

Re: 2 Controllers Into 1
Well ideally the and gate approach would have SNES controller sockets on it so you would only have to plug them in. There would be no openning up of controllers and really only messing with one wire. More elegant and less work.

Re: 2 Controllers Into 1
Simply because that approach would require that you send 13 wires in between the master controller and the slave and would require that you make a controller board from scratch. The alternate approach is much more elegant.

Re: 2 Controllers Into 1
At the website you were at before get the sample for this one:
SN7400N ACTIVE 0 to 70 0.95 | 1ku PDIP (N) | 14 View 25 | TUBE >5k 1k quantity lead time: In stock
The other site you linked for is asking for Ruppees because its in India.

Re: 2 Controllers Into 1
Now that I think more on it in the light of day with my brain awake you will of course need to use an AND gate not a NAND which is what Micro has been kind enough to show you.

Re: 2 Controllers Into 1
Disregard my previous advice. The buttons in the SNES protocol are active low, so you'll need to use a NAND gate instead. Something like a 4011 or 7400.

Re: 2 Controllers Into 1
That's one controller controlling four characters not two controllers doing one input. The SNES controllers are pretty much two shift registers which clock out the status of the buttons. Knowing this there's an easy way to merge two controllers. I can't remember if the controllers are active high bu...

Trace where the RCA plugs go. Assuming its composite video then follow the yellow RCA plugs.

Re: help with screen wiring
SCL and SDA would usually refer to the two lines in the i2c serial protocol. Obviously the others would be for the power. If the silkscreening is accurate it seems that this wouldn't be where the video input is.

Re: PIC N64 Controller
Well the internal oscillator in the PIC is accurate enough to differentiate between 1 and 3 microseconds and the way that I do it that's all that's required. My pic is one of many that has a calibration value so even if the internal oscillator is terrible you can get something quite nice.

Re: PIC N64 Controller
Well its finally holidays which has given me time to get most of a board together ready for programming. That being said don't expect results anytime soon. Consider my past rate of progress as a good indicator  Obviously the front side of the board with most of the cool stuff going on is on sh...

Re: Anyone here heard of Dingoo? as in the A320, aA330, or A380?
The A320 is one of the best things I've ever bought. Playing gameboy games on the dingoo is wonderful because it has quite a nice screen. Once I got it my Gameboy didn't get touched again. It also has a wonderful community, I can't recommend it enough.
