wow. i feel bad that i havent commented on this yet. i have no idea. perhaps the xbox is over or underdriving the screen? (i had that issue with a SNES. needed a resistor.) different screens have different ranges of video they will accept. try amplfying or putting a resistor on the video line. i ass...

Easier way to avoid this: don't have friends. Seriously, they move away, die, stab you in the back, turn others against you...ect. Not worth it if you ask me. SS its not so much dont have friends, as dont be careless with them. i have 2 people i would truly consider "friends". the rest know nothing...

you could try lowering the voltage. but, most likely, adding a couple medium resistors on the out line of the brightness pot will solve the issue.

you would need a tuner box with composite or RGB (or svideo, but you arent PAL).
but why would you want to do this? TV sucks, and psone screens have way better uses anyway.
